Alan Atkinson, Ph.D., has been licensed as a psychologist in New York State since 1983. He has extensive experience and training in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, anger management issues, adolescent disorders, communication and conflict resolution issues, couples and family dysfunction, and personality disorders. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, New York State Psychological Association, Psychological Association of Western New York, and the National Register for Health Service Providers in Psychology. He has a level II training in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing), and Level I training through the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis. He is a founding partner of Amherst Clinical Associates, and is currently President of the Behavioral Healthcare Network.
