  Bruce Bleichfield, Ph.D., is a licensed Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Bleichfeld received his doctorate from Tulane University. He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at State University of New York at Buffalo since 1983. Since 1988, he has been a consulting psychologist to the Feeding Disorders Clinic at Children's Hospital of Buffalo. In the past, he served as Director of the Child Development Center at Southeast Louisiana Hospital and Director of the Preschool Evaluation and Treatment Program in the Department of Child Psychiatry at Children's Hospital of Buffalo. He has special interest in regulatory disorders of early childhood (which include difficulties with feeding, sleeping, and bowel control) and children experiencing behavioral aspects of medical conditions. Dr. Bleichfeld works from a transactional framework, in which he often serves as a "coach" for both parents and children.
