L. McClintock graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1995 with
a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Since graduation she has worked
in the Buffalo area, spending three years as Clinical Specialist with
the Family, Adolescent and Child Treatment Program at Horizon Health
Services. After receiving her license in 1997, Dr. McClintock has
been in private practice working with children, adolescents and adults
in individual and family therapy. Disorders treated include: • Depression • Anxiety • Bipolar disorder • Anger Management Issues • Eating Disorders • Personality Disorders • Relationship Issues |
| Dr.
McClintock has specific interest in helping family members increase their ability to communicate more effectively with one another and decrease conflict in their relationships. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents and their parents to increase understanding regarding developmental changes and improve insight into their differences. In addition, she will frequently assist parents in identifying and achieving parenting goals (including behavioral management and limit setting). |
