Since
opening my private practice in 1995, I have worked with adults and
children of all ages to help them find solutions for a variety of
life's challenges. My approach involves working collaboratively with
individuals and families to identify problematic patterns of thinking,
feeling, and behaving which are compromising well-being, relationships,
or life satisfaction. |

In
pursuing a specialty in treating eating disorders, I have enjoyed
helping many individuals, particularly young women, to develop a positive
self-image, self-esteem, and confidence in relationships with others.
An additional focus of my practice involves assisting families in
developing new strategies for helping children grow up emotionally
secure and with good behavioral control. Regardless of the issue,
my goal is to help each individual find a positive, practical solution
within a confidential, respectful, and hopeful environment.
With over a decade of clinical experience working with athletes confronting a wide range of psychological issues, my strong interest in the unique pressures of the athletic world led me to seek additional training in sport psychology. My training allows me to work with athletes not only to resolve problems but also to enhance performance, manage the pressures of competition, overcome obstacles to success, and achieve high levels of sportsmanship. As an avid sports fan and former competitive figure skater, my approach reflects my personal philosophy that, with proper perspective, competitive sports can be a wonderful vehicle for learning valuable life skills that can promote personal and professional satisfaction. |
