In part one Heather talks to families, lawmakers, and mental health advocates and providers about the struggles mentally ill patients and their families face when trying to access quality care in our state.

  1. I live in a group home in black mountain NC. I go to mission hospital in Asheville NC. I'm always able to get a bed either there or at old vineyard in Winston Salem. The longest I have been looking for a bed is three days.I guess I'm lucky and am grateful for the medical team in western NC.
