The United States, especially its youth, is in a mental health crisis, according to recent data from the Centers for Disease Control.
One in five American adults experienced symptoms of anxiety and depression. Four in 10 students had persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, two in 10 students seriously considered attempting suicide, and nearly one in 10 attempted suicide, according to the CDC.
