New state mandate reshapes mental health services in Sacramento

Major changes are coming to the mental health system, and they’ll directly impact how services are provided here in Sacramento County. These changes are due to a voter-approved measure that will reshape how millions of dollars are spent on behavioral health services and housing.

  1. So, not even 30% was being squared away for housing!? Nothing they did helped! It only got worse! I would love to see the ledger for prior spending. I bet some pockets were warm though. pathetic. 😢

  2. They may now have the funding, but lack qualified professionals. California mental health professionals are sicker than the ones they supposed to serve.

  3. Great News for no one. Not the homeless, the unhoused, or people living in their automobile. Most of the time they just prescribed medications so both the drug companies and medical professionals could get more money.

  4. Mental Health is so needed. Wish they could be back in mental wards rather on the sts self medicating. UGLY BILL they wont get their meds to quiet those voices in their minds😱😭🙏💔🤲
