  1. Thank you for this I grew up in a Catholic home and my parents don’t believe in suffering/ mental health/ therapy which gave me the mindset that it’s a sin 🙁 but I’m slowly breaking that bond thank you for this 🙂

  2. By that theory modern day so called geniuses, artists, intellectual. spiritual, professional and creative types also suffer from mental illness and disease that is incurable.

  3. I’ve had depression, anxiety, and minor OCD for most of my life (I’m 21) and in November I had been so scared and sad. I was scared because I was terrified that there might not be an afterlife, I began increasing my therapy sessions and returned to regular (virtual) church sessions. I am not Catholic I am Anglican but both have helped me a lot.

  4. Great content! How to response a friend diagnosed mental illness( anxiety and depression) with attempt to commit suicide, yet they are not catholic or christian?

  5. You really oversimplify with the ability of medication to cure mental illness. They don't always work and never to the extent of normalcy but I wouldn't not take my medication barring their availability due to quantity or feasibility. I hardly believe Jesus to ever suffer of mental illness. We'd like to believe Christ sufferred in always we suffer (Hebrews verbatim) but His sufferings were not this complete and it's only through the individual sufferings of the members of the Church (The body of Christ) bringing Christ's suffering afflictions to perfection (Colosians) and we thus can offer up such sufferings for the benefit to the Church Penitent. You speak of receiving the Sacraments but as mentally ill there are only five of the seven Sacraments to the suffers disposal. Marriage is not Sacramental and Holy Orders is banned by Canon Law to those mentally ill. I think you should address mental illness and sin. I have been in the past very depressed with guilt of my many sins even after absolution because my act of contrition is merely an act in lieu of my mental illness behavior. I now have the idea I cannot commit mortal sin due to my illness but I am still nonetheless a sinner in need of absolution for there isn't any license to commit sin. Please pray we all experience Sanctifying Grace not merely by rational thinking but that we may do the commissions of Jesus. Thank you for you taking serious the topic of suicide. Praise God it's been a fleeting thought thus far for me but unfortunately not my family and extended family for there are many of those seeking the ruin of souls to which we wrestle as does St Michael in our behalf.

  6. Thank you for this video. I've been dealing with mental illness, and as a Catholic, taking care of myself has been a difficult journey. I don't always feel supported in my health so I appreciate what you guys are doing. Keep up the good work and
    God bless <3

  7. Spirituality is all inclusive. only science separates them.
God created a whole person, spirit soul and body.I had mental illness for a long time, from childhood.
It was surrendering my life to God daily, reminding myself im not in control he is,going to daily mass, rosary and contemplative meditation everyday.
Walking. over a period of time all those things got me well. I can't rest on my butt it's a lifetime's work one day at a time one step at a time.
We are spirits in human bodies.

  8. I'm a married man having three kids , I'm experiencing a feeling that someone or some people are suffering intensely around my neighbourhood or or somewhere not very far. can u help me what is this sort of feeling is psychologically n spiritually?

  9. Simply brilliant! Very thorough and a blessing to many I pray. I have been called to the spiritual life as a hermit for over 12 years yet have dealings in both the spiritual realm and in mental illness.God reigns. And he will never abandon us as he promised he draws us so close in our sufferings.

Saint Pio once said “suffering is a gift, blessed are those who know how to profit by it .”

God love you for your work, the Lord shines through you .
