ehavioral Activation

particularly for people who actually are you know at least mildly depressed or in in some state of clinical depression uh is something called behavioral activation basically it involves something that’s so simple which is just creating an activity schedule for yourself and sticking to it one that’s has kind of an optimal level of Challenge and pleasure and Mastery and so what you would do if you’re struggling with depression is you would create a schedule depending on where you’re at if you’re struggling to get out of bed every day then that may be it right just putting this on your schedule every day I’ll get out of bed you you get to a little higher state of well-being where you’re able to do that consistently and you’ll say every day I’ll take a shower I’ll go for a walk and I’ll clean my room you gradually kind of step it up to where it’s more challenging it gives you more of a sense of Mastery and pleasure right you’re doing more of the things you’ve always been good at do the opposite of what depression tells you to do

Behavioral Activation, a technique often overlooked in discussions about combating depression, involves the systematic scheduling of tasks.

Starting with simple activities like getting out of bed, the complexity of tasks gradually increases, aiming to enhance overall well-being.

The ultimate goal of this method is to highlight and utilize strengths that resonate with your personal values.
