Five daily habits that mess with your well-being. Tips from a psychologist. Number one, checking your phone first thing in the morning. Whether it’s emails, news, or social apps, it hijacks your brain’s natural rhythm with over stimulation, leaving you anxious and unfocused for the rest of the day. Instead, start your morning calmly and wait between 20 to 30 minutes before checking your phone until your brain is fully awake. Number two, sitting most of the day, especially if you have an office job. Lack of movement reduces blood flow, making you feel stiff and tired. Instead, try standing up frequently. Stretch or take a small walk every few hours. Number three, frequently checking the news during the day. This overloads your brain with negativity and helplessness, which will negatively impact your mood. Simply limit news checking to once a day. Number four, trying to solve problems right before you sleep. By the end of the day, your happiness hormones are drained and your brain is low on energy. That’s why everything feels heavier and more negative than it really is. So, resist the urge to overthink at night and remember that things will feel lighter and clearer in the morning. And number five, not getting enough sleep. This one is obvious and I’m sure you already know that sleep is crucial for your mental and physical recovery. And lack of sleep makes you feel down and emotionally offbalance during the day. I hope this is helpful.

I also said to my close people to: – don't go to bed upset
– don't check mails on Sundays ( there is nothing we can do before Monday anyway, no need to ruin the day off with bills or bad news 😅)
