As we walk through life with our daily tasks, worries, and distractions, it’s all too easy to drift away from our rock, the one who calls to us and gives us true fulfillment in the midst of an aching world. So once in a while, we must retreat to the wilderness. This wilderness isn’t always a physical place, but rather a time of devotion set aside to pursue a deeper relationship with our creator. The wilderness is a journey into solitude with God, a departure from the desires that constantly reach for our attention, where we abandon the pattern of this world to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. In this place, our souls are realigned with the heart and purpose of Christ. We mirror the suffering of Jesus in the wilderness to reflect, persevere, and strengthen our focus on the father. And though it may bring discomfort, demanding more than we would normally surrender, our struggles are overshadowed by peace as our connection to God grows. When our time in the wilderness is complete, we return with a fresh perspective, a clearer vision of what it means to represent Christ to the world and to abide in communion with him. So in this season, let us seek out the wilderness and make our dwelling in his presence. Heat. Heat. work is a gift, a sacred invitation to all God’s children, a way to join with our creator in building his world and connect the God-given passions of our hearts to the movement of our hands. Work is a calling, a charge given to all who are able, a participation with Christ in governing creation while infusing God’s love and peace into the world through our talents. But valuable as it is, work cannot be endless. Tireless striving cannot last. And those who persist will inevitably fall to exhaustion. So God in his wisdom showed us a better way, his own way to step back, take a breath, and rest. Rest is a gift, a necessary rhythm for all who toil. A holy interruption to the sweat of one’s brow, where we pause and reconnect with the heartbeat of our father. Rest is a calling, a command to release our need for control, an admission that God is our true provider and his world will continue to turn even as we sleep. So rest, beloved, and know that the work will continue. Tomorrow, our labor will carry on and the task at hand will be completed in due time. But for now, embrace his blessing and rest. Heat. Heat. We grateful even to our God for the privilege that is given onto us to be able to explore even the topic of let’s talk about mental health. We’re grateful even for all that he’s been doing started to do in our lives. Grateful even for this unique privilege opportunity has given unto us. We worship and we adore his holy name. Today we are continuing even in our series we are looking you know this month our month of let’s talk about mental health and you know we will be looking at let’s talk about mental health part two and we’ll be focusing on depression. Let’s talk about mental health part two. I’ll be focusing on depression. Be focusing on depression. Our text is taken from Philippians chapter 4 reading from verse 7 to8. Philippians chapter 4 reading from verse 7 to8. Bible says that the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Yes, we really want to thank God for how good has started with us even in this our month of let’s talk about mental health. grateful for last Sunday that we were able to start you know the process we were able to define what mental health is and even from there we also know when I to look at you know life challenges life challenges you know that can affect even our mental health and we you know we eventually went ahead to explore you know the various types of you know mental health challenges that you know people could have. We looked at um we looked at stress and we also looked at anxiety looked at all those you know those ones as examples and then we did mention that help is available. Help is what available help even both from you know the Christian you know resources you know you know perspective help in form of you know the example that we that we that you know that we that our project focus around that is Elijah the teach by let’s talk about mental health help from what God used you know to help him to recover and help also from organizations from professionals professionals in the psychological you know field the psychology field in the medical science field you know help from the resources that God has been able to help to develop over the years which you know by the time we go through you know you you you you check you know the the the the resources that we have about Elijah you realize that there’s so much similarities with what God used you know for Elijah when he had his own experience and God helped him to recover and what you know mental health you know practitioners are also using you know similarities in you know in both aspects okay praise the lord so we looked at all that that help is available available for you available for me available for all of us to be able to to access you know those resources and help us to recover but more importantly not just only to recover to you know be able to experience mental well-being mental wellbeing praise the lord and I had to look at the examples you know the the examples of in in the lives of examples in life of Elijah example in my own life how you know God help me to rebate my mentor and example in the life of elder as well how God helped me to maintain is mental well-being. Praise the Lord. So today we just want to continue you know want to now look at you know some one or two other you know you know you know common you know mental health you know challenges you know that affects people that affect people you know as a result of what you know you know coping with the challenges of life you know that we dealt with last Sunday. So you know today we want to look at um low mode. Before we look at the depression want to start with number one want to look at low low mood. Want to look at low mode. What is the description you know of low mood? How is low mood? You know described you know you know scientifically you know low mood is an emotional state that is characterized by what? Sadness. That’s characterized by anxiety. We looked at anxiety last week. That’s characterized also by what? Low selfesteem. Tiredness and frustration. That’s what low mood is about. You know, you know, people that might experience low mood, you know, might might be might be sad, might be anxious, you might be having anxiety, might have low self esteem, they have tiredness, they may have frustration. And indeed, you know, we remember last week we did it. There are times these things happen to us as as a cause of dayto-day living. Okay? There are times we feel sad. There are times, you know, we are anxious. There are times we have low self-esteem. There are times we are tired you know there are times you know you know you know events happen and we can become frustrated. The issue you know when it becomes a mental health you know situation you know mental health challenge is when such experiences when such feelings are you know sustained over a period of time such that it now impacts you know affects you know our regular functioning our ability our ability to function and cope with life. Okay. So that’s that’s when the issue is that’s where the issue is you things like this they’re part of us dealing with the challenges of life you know like beside said last Sunday they’re part of us dealing with challenges of life at times you know we feel low there are times we feel you know low selfesty time we are tired you know and you know there are times you know we are frustrated but you know after a while we able to bounce back we’re able to know recover we’re able to reassess you know our our our emotions reulate our emotion you know reassess all that you know what is happening that is causing and then we’re able to do you know to get resources to bounce back and continue even with our life. But you know on the other on the other side too there are times feelings like this they are so prolonged. They are prolonged over a period of time that it impacts us being able to function. It impacts us being able to you know to you know being able to cope you know with the normal you know day-to-day you know activities of us living. Praise the Lord. And more importantly also in a severe form low mood in which is why we we starting with low mood in a severe form if it’s you know if it continues you know over a period you know over a period of time that impacts our daily living okay usually then it becomes what you know referred to as depression you know leads to to to depression. If low mood you know happens you know affects us continuously over you know our daily life affecting our daily life there you know is now referred to as depression. What are the symptoms? Symptoms of low mood. You know, someone that has low mood might feel sad. Okay. And as you said earlier on, feeling sad is part of we do that, you know, it comes once in a while. Things happen, might feel sad for whatever reason. Okay? You know, but in a situation where that that feeling of sadness, you know, now becomes overwhelming that now paralyzes you from being able to, you know, go ahead and do other things that needs to be done. And then you know not just only do other things you are now able to get yourself back and become happy and joyous and you know that is where the issue is that’s when it becomes a mental health challenge okay and that’s where you know resources that are available you know can help you to know how to regulate how to know you know manage you know you know your your feelings your your your emotions you know regulate it such that feelings of sadness do not you know become overwhelming and then you know leading you know to sit where such the person becomes depressed. Okay, so you know sad, an anxious and panicky. Okay, someone that is anxious and is panicky panicky over things that might happen or things that have happened or you know things that you are thinking that might that might happen. Okay, you know more than tired than usual. Okay, which affects you an ability to sleep. Okay, these are symptoms. You the person is becoming tired and as they can’t sleep properly, okay, angry and frustrated. Okay. So that’s that’s a symptom is a symptom of someone you know that has a low mood. Person might be angry. Person might be might be frustrated. Okay. And you know that that anger that frustration is coming out you know in various you know in in various ways. Such a person might be you know in a period of what might be you know affected by what by by low mood and that time naturally times you know things upset us and we get angry and before you know you know we’re able to cope with it we know we you know we regulate ourel and we get over it. But in a sation where things you know events of life life challenges is now bringing such an episode of symptoms of anger or frustration over a period of time depression you know you know inly might be setting in low low on confidence or self-esteem low on confidence or self-esteem that’s another way of you know of having you know that symptom low confidence or self-esteem bad about yourself or empty you feel bad you feel empty about yourself low interest or pleasure in doing things you know these are symptoms of of of low mood. Other symptoms include you know such desire to isolate yourself from people you are withdrawing you know from people you are withdrawing you’re not becoming more you know you know sort of not no not I don’t not reserved you that’s that’s not that’s not the word I want to use you this one is a error consciously or consciously withdrawing even from relating with with people difficulty sleeping or on the other side sleeping too much like this difficulty sleeping insomnia or you’re now even sleeping too So everything you could be on either you know of the extreme tired and lacking energy irritated or agitated you always irritated are you agitated things are making you you know you need to be to be agitated difficulty in concentrating or thinking clearly it’s challenges we not able to think you know clearly we find it difficult to concentrate and we need to concentrate to get task done you know to be able to get through you know the work of the day okay and then poor appetite or overeating. Poor appetite, you’re not eating well. Or on the other hand, you’re now indulging yourself. You, you know, overeating just to be able to, you know, do, you know, sort of use it as a way to compensate for how you are feeling in terms of your low mode or moving or speaking more slowly than normal. Moving or what? Speaking more slowly than these are various symptoms of, you know, of of low mood. Okay. And then one key symptoms, one key symptom of low mood is hopelessness. That’s one key symptom. That’s that’s one of the key areas that that that brings about all those other symptoms you know one key symptom underlining you underlining symptom of all those you know of low mood is what hopelessness such a person feels you know hopeless you know and then that hopelessness can become you know fear that oh you you might you know you might always feel this way okay that there’s no help there’s no there’s no way that you can overcome this period of you know feeling low or feeling you know having you know being sad sad or feeling you know angry or feeling frustrated okay or experience any of these symptoms of low mood. So the person and once hopelessness start setting in once hopelessness you know start setting in other thoughts will start coming in you know thoughts of you know of of of of societal thoughts will start setting in okay thoughts of arming yourself will start setting in why because hope you’re thinking oh I can’t get out of this you know you know this you know this situation so hopelessness is also what a symptom of of what of low mood okay so that’s that’s low mood and of course as we said when low mood is is you know is overwhelming over a period of time it becomes depression. It becomes depression. Such a person is entering a a a a you know a state of of pain depress of experiencing what depression. So depression is a feeling of low mood that lasts for a long time and affects your everyday life. That’s depression is a is a is a feeling of low mood. All those symptoms that we said about low mood, you know, it lasts for a long time and it affects your everyday life. You know, it lasts for a long time and it affects your everyday life, your ability to function, your ability, you know, to deal with life, your ability to be productive, you know, your ability to live a you know, you know, a good and you know, life and contribute, you know, to to your community. Okay. So that’s that’s what you know depression is that feeling of low mood over a long period of time and it can make you feel hopeless. Going back to what we said earlier on hopelessness a key symptom of low of of low mood and of course low mood is when it’s prolonged that becomes what? Depression. So it can make you feel hopeless. You can become despair. You know you are despairing. You are guilty but start having guilty you know guilty feelings. You might become worthless. You know you might start feeling you know worthless. might feel unmotivated and you might feel exhausted. These are various you know with descriptions for you know for for depression you know motivated or motivated to get everything done motivated to for whatever is such a person becomes exhausted and of course it could affect all your other areas aspect of life you know your self-esteem your sleep your appetite you know your sex drive and sometimes even your physical health you know depression you know by the time you know start impacting other areas of your of your physical health. Okay. So symptoms you know see symptoms of of in his mildest form the pressure doesn’t stop you leading a normal life. Okay. When it’s mild you know it doesn’t stop you from leading a leading a normal life. Over time you are able to do what to you know to you to regulate you know to regulate all such feelings and cope with it and deal with it and gradually you actually recover you know you recover from from from being depressed. Okay. and you get back to your normal self and now able to maintain maintain your mental wellbe however everything gets harder to do sometimes you know and sometimes and and sometimes things seems less less worthwhile okay things get harder to do it becomes a struggle you want to get things done at times just you know s people feel what’s the point you know is it is it worth all the effort okay the other extreme other spectrum of you know going through depression that’s miles for the other extreme is when depression becomes severe. When it becomes severe, such a person might become might feel suicidal and might you know be life might also be life threatening. Okay. So they may start having suicidal thoughts and also be having the thought in some cases some actually go down you know the line of actually you know you know taking their life you know by by by suicide and it all starts from depression which is why you know what we’re trying to do we’re creating awareness letting people know that mental health challenge affects everybody it affects everybody look at various of stress you know anxiety low mood depression which is why we need to create our awareness personal and encourage there’s help. Help is available. Why? So that we can you know encourage and support people that it doesn’t get to the to that extreme you know of you know of taking you know of of taking an act of taking an action you know of taking you know when when starts coming in okay and such a person now you know feels that oh that’s the only option that is available there there are other options beyond you know other options apart apart from that there other options apart from And what are those options? Us concentrating on the resources you know that is available to support to look at things in a different perspective and not allow all these feelings all these life challenges to overwhelm to overwhelm to overwhelm us. Praise the Lord. And there we have some some specific forms of depression, postnatal depression, you know, postal which could, you know, affect both the both the, you know, um both parents. It will affect both parents. Okay. Of obviously, of course, you know, it affects more of the mother. Okay, it affects the mother but you’ll be surprised depression could also affect the father. You know it could affect it could affect you know the father as well. So you know these are things you know various that that are just coming you know to light initially everybody will assume that oh depression is a mother is a mother that carry the pregnancy and you know and had a baby. Okay. So they’re the ones that you know most like you but you’d be surprised research has shown that not only does it affect you know the mother postal depression will also you affect affect you know the you know the you know the father as as well could affect both partners. Okay. And we also have seasonal affective disorder you know things like depression as a result of changes in season. Changes in the season could affect people bring depression. Winter for example has you know has an impact an effect on some people being able to cope. Okay. Even coming back to you know all those changes in season could bring various you know impacts on one’s mental health. And the more we you know you you aware we aware of oh what what are those triggers what are those things that can bring it and then you put start you know what are the measures that the strategies I can put in place to ensure that this does not happen to me and I can able to maintain my mental wellbe my mental wellbe the lord number three number three so we go back to what yeah we just want to emphasize again help is available help is which as event anything that we help is what are available. Help is available. Be reassured. You are not alone. Mental health affects everybody. Mental health. So, we all have mental health. We all have mental health. Mental health challenges can affect anybody. Can a can affect anybody. It’s not limited by gender. It’s not limited by race. It’s not limited by your social status. It’s not limited by your educational status. It’s not limited by your qualification. It’s not limited whether you are by your faith. It’s not limited by your faith. It’s not limited by any it affects for as long as you’re a human being. You are a human being. You have physical health. You also have mental health. Mental health challenges will affect anybody. And so there’s no point. There’s no need for you to you know to be ashamed. There’s no point in you be having that stigma feeling that oh if I say anything people people will look down on me. People look weird. I’ll look weird or people will be wondering what’s wrong with me. No no no no. Don’t be ashamed of that feeling of stigma. That’s the essence of what we’re going through talking about this, you know, in church on a Sunday like this. And then of course, you know, with our, you know, with our with, you know, with our resources that we have, that’s the essence of we want to create an atmosphere, create an environment where it is conducive for people to be able to express express what they are going through without them being stigmatized, without them being being made to feel ashamed that oh this is the challenges that they are facing. And then when they are able to express it, we’re able to do provide the support. If I if we can provide the support individually, why not we provide the support and if we cannot who direct them, link them up to the right appropriate places, okay, where that such support can be pro that can be can be can be accessed can be they can get that support there and then help them to to recover. Help them to recover. Once again we refer you to the list of of of um of of of resources that we have in our handbook that we have in our handbook is available on that on that web on our website that that web address that is listed you know that’s been shown on the screen page you know 20 40 to 42 of that website is available there you know that you can access you those those resources those organizations they’re also available to to provide you know help to provide support that you need Okay, praise the Lord. Before we continue, you know, in relation to that, we also want to quickly also speak on from the Christian perspective. But the reality is not just from the Christian perspective. It’s it cut across other personal psychological and medical because the bottom line of mental health challenges is hopelessness. That’s the bottom the key symptom is hopelessness. When we start having when stress you know stress, anxiety, low mood and depression becomes overwhelming, it brings in you know that that sense of hopelessness. And once hope is lost, the challenge is now greater. Okay, for us to now be able to retrace our steps, access the resources that are available for us to now be able to recover, deal with those emotions, deal with those challenges, deal with those symptoms and then realize that oh indeed I have the strength, I have the ability, I have the capacity to do to recover, deal with these emotions and you know move on with my life. Praise the Lord. So number three a we just want to emphasize is part of the help that is available. Renew your hope in the Lord. Renew what? your hope in the Lord irres what life might throw at you. Irres of the challenges life might bring along your along your way. Irrespective of because as we said life challenges you you can you can you can eliminate them. Life challenges will always happen issues will always happen in life. Okay. across every area at work, in terms of your finances, in terms of your relationship, okay? In terms of your business, in terms of day-to-day living, in terms of bereavement, you know, physical, you know, health, you know, health, you know, sickness, there are so many things that are happening. Some other things that are even beyond our control. It might happen. The most important thing for you and I, particularly as Christians, is for us to go renew our hope in the Lord. Renew our hope in Romans 15:3. God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of your faith that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in his promises. You overflow with confidence in his promises. Belove this is important. Let’s keep hope alive. Keep hope. Hope you say hope as a Christian hope in God. Hope in Jehovah. Hope that I know God has best plans for me. Whatever I might be going through, irregard of how I’m feeling, irres whatever the challenges of life might have thrown at me, God has the blessed plans for my life and I’m going to hold onto him, hope in him that one, he will send help to me. Two, he will release his grace, you know, upon my life. Three, his healing power will flow through me both both spiritually both directly from above and through other resources that he has already provided you know you know through the medical field and he will bring all those resource and all they will work together for good in my life so that I can do what recover overcome all those challenges and do continue with my life see it is important don’t give up hope hold onto that hope hold onto the tenaciously hope in Christ hold onto it because it is that that that’s part of what will keep you going and then once once you renew that hope in the Lord and then those seasons of oh depression those seasons of anxiety those seasons of of stress you start seeing it in a different light the Holy Spirit will start open your eyes you start seeing things that’s why the Bible say through the experience of your faith from the eyes of faith you start seeing oh really what I thought you know could happen like that the enemy has magnified beyond Russia really God has already taken care of it oh and all those feelings before you you are rolling them up. You are casting your cares even that’s what we learned last Sunday. You are casting your cares and your anxiety even on onto Jehovah. And as you do that, you’re receiving hope from him. You’re receiving love from him. You’re receiving grace from him to continue to continue to persevere and to overcome in the name of Jesus Christ. And the second part of the renew hope is to meditate. Meditate on the goodness and promises of the Lord. Meditate on what the goodness and promises of the Lord. Meditate. Oh, God is good. He will always be good. Irrespective of what you might God is what is always good. His goodness is not about what you are going through. His goodness is about his presence in your life. Is about the fact that no no God is good. He remains good constantly good irrespective of whatever circumstances you might find. And you meditate on his promises. On his promises. So how do you meditate on his on his goodness? What you know is always good to meditate on those goodness that you have experienced the testimonies what God has done in your life the way he has come through for you and you know he came through ah you came through yeah I remember this you did this for you did that for and so the ones that I’m facing now what are what are the promises in the word of God that will help me to hold onto him to navigate this situation that that I’m facing it says in Philippians 4:7 to8 our text and the peace of which translate all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Think about something that’s what apostle Paul wrote there in Philippians that the peace of God the peace of that that passes that that transcends all understanding will guard our hearts will guard our mind. How? By renewing hope in Christ renewing hope in him. And by when we do that his peace will come. His peace will bring reassurance. His peace will help us to be focused on him. We will become at peace like knowing that whatever Lord you are with me. The prince of peace is with me. And you on the other side too from that piece of you start thinking, you start meditating on those things that are good, those things that are pure, those things that are excellent, those things that are praise worthy testimonies that are praise word. Ah baba, you came through. Ah when I thought my back was against the wall, but Lord you made a way where there seems to be no way. You did it. Ah this one you do it again. You do it in this situation for me. And why we keep doing all those before you know it whatever the mental health you know period that you are facing through the stress the anxiety the low the um everything will start God will start giving you the grace to not just only navigate that period but also to recover from that period. He will give you he will lead you to the to the to the resources that you need the information that you need that will help you to know okay son daughter this is how you deal with this you know son daughter this is how you are able to cope with this and then you able to bounce back and you you know recover and you rebuild your life you continue with your life praise the lord so we going back to what we said earlier on recovery recovery and um and um recovery is possible and achievable recovery is is possible and achievable. Elijah went through all that we’re talking about. He was stressed. Work related stress was what happened to the poor man. He was stressed. He’s been doing all great miracles, great fighting, protecting the name of of Jehovah in the life. He’s been doing all those said, “Ah, you kill my prophet, I’m going to kill you too.” And the poor man felt, you know, he felt threatened and he ran for his life. Fortunately, he became depressed, you know. So, he went through that breakdown. and went through that that breakdown work related stress he became he became anxious anxiety came in low from before you know the low mood was you know he just moved straight to depression and he started having suicidal thoughts he went through but glory be to God did not abandon Elijah he didn’t abandon Elijah the same God that he will not abandon you in the name of Jesus he will not abandon me he did not even abandon me I I have the testimony there too God did not abandon me he didn’t abandon me too when I to have my own my own mental health challenge. He didn’t abandon me. God did not abandon Elijah. He came through for Elijah. He came through for he helped him to navigate. So those resources, those strategies that God used for him, we packages it together as an online course. Later on this month, the online course will be available be available for you and I to you know to benefit from to learn to study. How did God do it? God allowed Elijah Elijah to to first of all he allowed him to talk. God allowed it starts from there. God allowed him to talk talk. Hey Elijah said he said blah blah blah. God allowed God did not say my friend keep quiet. No God allowed him to after he finish talking tired he slept allowed him to sleep. So this it starts from there. Allow people to talk whatever people are going through. Give a safe space, a safe space for people to express, you know, the the pains, their pains, their you know, of of their of of their discomfort of whatever is they going through. Give them space to express that pain without judging them, without stigmatizing, without shaming them. Give them that space. And in the process of that, you know, them doing all those ones what it’s part of the healing process. That’s part of the that’s part of some of the things that I went through. You you watch it in my own you watch it with my podcast on my own podcast I share the story of how God raised brought me used to teach by the state he brought me across our pastor she was the one God used to navigate to help me in terms of a physical person that helped me to overcome every time I will call this woman and this woman on the phone will be talking we will be talking talking and she’ll be listening to me she will not judge me she will eventually Of course, after you know talking and doing all those which was what God did for Elijah as well too after Elijah talked Elijah God allowed him to sleep. God allowed him to rest. God you know you know allowed him to come for a retreat. Okay the retreat God now say now you’ve talked. Let me give you my own side of the story. Let me give you a different perspective. One you’re not alone. God you are not the only one that can do this work. So God gave you. So where where are we going? God gave you God brought his mind to correct his perception his perception and the same way too that’s what God used to to do in my life too she allowed me to talk she will allow me to she eventually God she will correct my perception she will correct myself well no you need to look at it this way these are things that you also need to do these are corrections that you also need to what are we trying to say in all this case recovery is possible and achievable God did it for Elijah he did this in my own life too directly through Elijah story I learned from you said Lord you did this for Elijah baba it is replicated in my life and we he replicated it he said he made me to life is a privilege life is it’s a privilege things could have been worse so what you need to do gratitude be grateful so I became grateful I’m grateful for life grateful for the little things I can enjoy life is what is a privilege you deserve a second chance are part of the things God gave me from reading the story of Elijah. I desire yourself. So man, use this second chance. Use it. Forget about what people will say. Forget about what people want people think. It’s not about what people. It’s about you, your life and what I’ve planned, you know, for your life. Those are the things that God was able to from the story of Elijah. What are we trying to say? Recovery is possible. Recovery is achievable. Okay. All we now need to do is access it. Access that help. Access that and allow God to lead us. access the help from the resources that are available. Praise the Lord. So our online course will be available you know later on this month. The podcast too will be available later on this you know and at time to the podcast you know from visit will also be available. How God helped him to to navigate you know that period of his career change that was impacting his mental health and how he was now able to maintain to maintain his mental and qualify. He qualified. He completed his task. His assignment is go. He qualified as a registered mental mental health nurse. Despite all the challenges, the life changes that I was impacting on him. You know, bringing more forms of anxiety affecting his mental health. He was able to know to recover and he qualified. Today he’s practicing. These are things that we all be able to share. Elijah continued as a prophet. I’m sure you you know that he continued as a prophet. He continued go my friend. You still have work to do. go and do don’t worry I’ll give you somebody I’ll give you somebody to support you and you treat him as a successor but let him but you this work you can’t run away from you continue I continue I continue not only God said I have another assignment for you becoming a pastor and I didn’t know that the journey of becoming a pastor will lead here will lead here for me to be able to share my my story the story of how God used Elijah the teach to help me to recover the story of how God used um the widow with to to help me to recover my you know my my finances because everything both of them they all linked together they all linked how God was able to because it’s my creativity my creativity God help me to rediscover my my my creativity and the same thing with PC as well God was able to do to help him to go through that period praise the lord praise Jesus amen so that’s our project that’s what our project is all about we mentioned it last week it’s all focus on the story of Elijah of prophet Elijah as documented in the Bible in 1 19 verse1 to 21. But the bottom line there is that it is our initiative to do to encourage many to seek help, facilitate awareness about mental health recovery and support mental wellbe. Those are the things that we want to be able to accomplish there. So it’s it’s see we we are creating more awareness about mental health in within the Christian you know community and in our wider community as well creating awareness that one it it affects our so over spiritualize it that’s number one number two resources are available resources help is available and you need to do cry and seek that help make to seek that help receive that help and then you are able to do to maintain you know you know use that resources those resources to you know you know to help you know your your your own your own your own life recover and then continue with your journey. Praise the Lord. Shall we pray? Let’s pray once again and say father we thank you for an opportunity to still learn to learn more about mental health. We are grateful we do not take it for granted. We pray for an outpouring of your grace and power to heal, restore and rebuild our lives in Jesus name we pray. Father once again we are grateful for this opportunity you are giving us. this unique opportunity you are given us in res to learn more about mental health. We we are grateful Lord. We thank you Lord Almighty. We ask that Lord you we pray for an outpouring of your grace for an outpouring of your power to heal us oh Lord to restore us oh Lord to rebuild our lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Let there be an outpouring of your power. Let there be an outing of your grace in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, Lord, God Almighty, we ask oh Lord, we beseech you Lord, we come before thy throne of mercy and say, Lord, let there be an outpouring of your peace, an outpouring of your peace, an according of your peace to guard our hearts, to guard our minds, oh Lord, in the name of Jesus, to enable us, oh Lord, to continue to meditate, to meditate and think of your goodness and think, oh Lord, that Lord, you are a faithful God. You are a good God. You always come through Lord. So Lord, we meditate on your goodness. We meditate on your promises. You do not fail, oh Lord. You do not feel Lord. Your promises are yeah and amen. Baba help us oh Lord an outpouring of your peace to reassure us. An outpouring of your of your peace to comfort us. An outpouring of your peace Lord to encourage us in the name of Jesus Christ. We will get the balance right oh lord. We will get the balance right oh lord in the name of Jesus. We will be able to maintain it. So your peace that passed all understanding will guide our hearts.
