2026 Optum Behavioral Health and Emotional Wellbeing Solutions Benefits through Partners for Health

Hello, my name is Chris Row and I am a member of the account management team with Optum for the state of Tennessee. Today I’ll be sharing a highle overview of the here fortn benefits available to members. Now also briefly cover some of the resources that are available to leaders and managers. And as a reminder, here fortn is the brand name for your behavioral health, emotional well-being solutions, and work life programs. All powered by optimum. For those enrolled in a Partners for Health insurance plan, you’ll also have behavioral health coverage through Optum. And if you do, you should have received a behavioral health ID card as you see here. You’ll want to present this card when accessing behavioral health services. And on the back of the card, you can find contact information for member support, where to submit claims, and a contact for our substance use helpline. Replacement cards can be obtained by calling 855 here fortn or by logging into your account through here fortn.com. Another behavioral health benefit I want to briefly mention is the substance use disorder preferred network for anyone struggling with substance use disorder. State of Tennessee has a benefit in which you can access a preferred substance use disorder facility. And this preferred status is important for those who are struggling because they do show better clinical outcomes and have a lower member cost share as you can see in the last two bullet points on the slide. And for the remainder of the presentation, we’ll be discussing emotional well-being solutions resources, formerly known as EAP or employee assistance program. Here you can review the eligibility requirements for emotional well-being solutions services. And you’ll see for state and higher education employees, these services are available to all benefits eligible employees and their eligible family members even if they are not enrolled in medical insurance. For local education and local government employees, emotional wellbeing solution services are available to employees who are enrolled in medical insurance and then family members are eligible even if they are not enrolled in medical insurance. You can always reach out to our team at 855 here for TN to do an eligibility check to check on either yourself or those in the household to check their eligibility status. And here’s a list of the emotional well-being solutions resources you have available through here for TN. And for the remainder of the presentation, I will briefly discuss each of these. So, when you call 855 here fortn, you’ll be connected with this team. And at a minimum, these are M’s level employee assistance specialists who are here to support you with unlimited consultations, risk screenings, advocacy, and referrals to all of our resources. And as part of your here for TN emotional well-being solutions benefits, you have access to five nocost short-term counseling visits per issue per year, and that is per person. Prior authorizations are required for these five visits and these can be obtained by calling 855 here fortn or you can submit this request on here fortn.com. If you need to find an appointment with an in network provider, the dedicated clinical team will always offer a first call provider search. Um, they can find providers in network based on your preferences. And we’ll work to find a provider with appointment availability, whether that’s in person or for virtual care, to ensure access to mental health support in a timely manner. You can choose to work with a provider in person or virtually for both behavioral health visits and your five free emotional well-being solutions visits. Virtual visits allow you to schedule a session with the psychiatrist or therapist using secure technology to connect with providers in real time through the internet and typically providing more convenience to you as the member. Virtual behavioral coaching can help you manage mild to moderate symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety. If you utilize this program, you’ll get personalized self-paced support with B virtual behavioral coaching from Able to. The program delivers a tailored path to help you build coping skills, and it includes evidence-based tools and techniques, on demand support 247, and motivational guidance from a dedicated coach. Talkspace is a digital platform that offers an effective alternative to face-to-face therapy through voice and video communications. You can use Talkspace for both long-term counseling, through your behavioral health benefits if eligible, and for your five short-term nocost emotional well-being solutions visits. To begin using Talkspace, follow the steps listed here. Also, just a reminder that an authorization is needed for your five free emotional well-being solution sessions. Comm is the top rated app for sleep, meditation, and relaxation. Take Charge at Work is a confidential program designed to help working adults recognize and manage symptoms of stress and depression. To get started with Take Charge at Work, you will answer a quick assessment and after receiving those results, you can begin working with your coach who is also a licensed clinician. You’ll work together through the workbook that has eight chapters. You aren’t required to complete all of the chapters. I would say most people find resolution after completing only a few of the sessions. The program is anonymous and the state has not provided information on those who enroll in the program. As a manager or leader, you have access to trainers that are available to provide on-site or virtual trainings to you and your staff. To view the catalog or to request a training, you can go to here fortn.com and click on the manager resources tab at the top of the screen. There is no cost for you for these trainings. These are built into the contract between Optum and the state of Tennessee. Also available for leaders and managers are management consultation services that allows access to an unlimited number of telephonic consultations with a dedicated manager consultant. They’re able to assist with workplace issues with some examples shown on the slide. Critical incident response services are available for leaders and managers to schedule anytime you feel that your staff or team are going through any sort of crisis. You can request on-site or virtual support for employees. And Optimum is typically able to respond within 24 to 72 hours of that request or of an event. And our responders help employees process their emotional and physical reactions to critical incidents and ongoing stress.
