  1. A Tamil word ‘Ogam’ also known as yoga means merging or blending. Harmonization of mind and body is called Ogam and has been found in the earliest known scriptures and texts of Tamil Nadu.

Tirumular was a tamil shaivite mystic and writer, considered one of the 63 nayanmars and one of the 18 siddhars. Tirumular, recited "Ogam" to his disciple patanjali, who translated it into sanskrit in rameswaram and "Ogam" became to known as "yoga sutras" then he published it in chidambaram, tamil nadu.

  2. I prefer cardio vascular exercises viz. Pushups, jumping Jack, burpee, jogging. Plank, etc. Sitting and rotating our legs and hands won't give enough workout, it won't burn calories. Lol

  3. For the fitness experts in the comment section: yoga is an excercise for mental well-being and stretching of body, so don't compare it with other cardio and strength training activities, all the 3 should be used togather, and yoga never claims to be these other ones, so stop stupid comparison
