Health workers trained on mental health
Displacement is one of the leading causes of mental health disorders in Uganda, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In response, the ministry has partnered with various organizations to train community health workers and other stakeholders on integrating gender, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and conflict management.
The initiative aims to address the long-term effects of conflict, particularly among displaced populations.
