The 7 Investigators were the first to show you in February how patients have been alleging they were held against their will in psychiatric hospitals, or they say they were coerced into staying for treatment they don’t need. Since then, we’ve received hundreds of calls and emails from patients and family members with similar stories. Now, another local patient has come forward to share her story of how she says she was held against her will.

Psychiatry is a crime, it is fraud. Involuntary commitment is abuse and shocking people is barbaric. This is not medicine psychiatry needs to b investigated the DSM and the lies about chemical imbalances causing all these so-called mental "illnesses".

I’ve went through this too. I seen a psychiatrist for 10 minutes and regardless of them listening to my truth they went against it and I had been called crazy and stupid. I know what I went through was real yet I was being punished and not the abusers themselves. I think psychology has gone too far. They are hypocrites. They bring ppl in with a drug problem sometimes and they give them more of a drug problem. Handing out psych pills like the drug dealers on the street to make their life easier. They get you addicted to medication you shouldn’t be on that changes you as a person, you get molded in to how they see you. It’s sad for our country to have this this way

It’s all about $$$$ now, whether it’s medical, or mental. Our medical system is so broken – we are lower than most other countries on this. Our politicians don’t care – it’s all about $$$$
R I C O. ~ everyone wants to get paid ~ this is how they take advantage of a WAY TO GET BUSINESS , INSURANCE WILL PAY all activity each action every employee is involved in / police, ambulance, hospital intake, examinations, blood work, testing of the blood work, administrative assistance of data, hospital will send in as many doctors, Psychiatrist, psychiatrist in training, Nurses, room attendant , cafeteria attendants, students in training, cleaners for each room, administrative personnel returning to the room the patient is placed in to go over all details for billing again, repeated visits from any personnel that can be added to the services given and are billable to insurance companies and the patient, make sure they ordered follow up doctor visits as part of their release ect……………

Pre-signing your paperwork for a mental health review is the time saving equivalent to wiping your ass before you shit. But the moral implications are far more disgusting.
If you work at one of these facilities and you suspect your clients rights are being infringed upon, it is your responsibility to them to speak up.

Feel sorry for them.They snatch phone also. Lucky you still had your phone. I was forcibly sent by my parents & kept for 1 month just because i have different opinions than them.

Those places are very horrible. I was lied about and told I was suicidal by two Caseworkers Zayda Gonzalez and Brittany Galindo of Downtown Womens Centre, Los Angeles. Terrible that staff have that much power to lie about you, and put you in a fraudulent 72 involuntary hold.
Lesson learned. Don't ask for help.
Something similar happened to me. In every so-called mental health hospital, they treat you like you are a non sentient animal with little to nothing to do, and they only bring one individual in to talk to you during a tiny portion of the day. My mother tried to force me to go back into that hospital after I had gotten better, and instead, she pushed me away just to make me mentally worse with family loss, destroying the repairs I had made on my mental health.

I was on a ward twice in which they automatically administered the morning after pill and caused other women to have chemical abortions. One a law student was able to aquire help from outside to get out – she lost her unborn foetus. All over an eating disorder. I was framed when I walked away from the hospital, lies madeup that I had broken into a broken locker, which I had requested to be repaired. All lies and jests. These places can be dangerous, not to mention being placed on meds.that cause sterilization. The Nazis have ta ki en over.

She was young and had not been warned NOT to seek help from the system. Do not seek help form 911 or 800 numbers. You could loose everything. Time for everyone to wake up, it is a Eugenics based system, it is not meant to heal anything it is to generate capital. Reach out to a friend, a family member, a therapist, anyone but the system. These places are only for the most dangerous and violent patients, and most of them are running loose in the streets while innocent people are victimized by the system. They want everyone but their selected few dead. Don't forget it.

I was in a mental hospital against my will so many times. Before my first hospitalization at age 20, I was in college, nearly an A student, had friends, had a future and was getting some respect. Since my first hospitalization, I flunked out of college, could never hold down a job, never had a girlfriend and get treated like shoveled dog💩💩💩. I'm 53 years old and still resent what those shrinks and staff did to me by giving me the wrong medications and zombifying me.

My wife was involuntarily committed without due process. She was force drugged for three months. When she was released, her cognitive ability was gravely compromised. She is now permanently disabled. Where I live, people are not held involuntarily for any length of time. They are kicked out if they want to stay. If they are in any way dangerous, they are put in jail.
Oh for the love of god, just give people the proper medications! When you can’t sleep for extended periods, it’s HORRIBLE! I’ve had that happen to me, it was worse than after I had ANY of my babies. My dr. That I had, “retired”, I didn’t learn about it until I went in for my appointment. It took 10 months…TEN MONTHS to get in with a new doctor. I knew I was having issues but I refused to call emergency BECAUSE of this situation! What other doctor can hold you against your will? NONE. Hell, insurance won’t even let you stay in the hospital as long as you need even AFTER major surgery…but this, this is different. You end up with no choice. F*ck that.

I totally get it. I have never been admitted against my will but I have been treated very poorly, unprofessionally and unjustly by the medical system in Canada. One Doctor adamatly once told me that I "was just not like all the other girls my age." That is a pathetic thing to say to anyone. I have always been my own person and I will not ever know how to be anyone else but the person that I am. And I am stubborn about that. What you see is what you get. If you don't like what you see, then you are the one who has the problem not me!!!
this is a widespread problem. People dealing with suicidal ideation/depression/anxiety should not be thrown in the same ward as people in active psychosis being violent
