Independent Mental Health Advocacy is delivering an online workshop on rights and self-advocacy for consumers of mental health and wellbeing services and their supporters. This workshop is specifically for people who use Auslan. The workshop covers your rights under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 as well as IMHA’s 6-step self-advocacy model.

Hey all! Did you know that there’s a workshop coming to you?
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) have a online workshop covering four different topics and the four topics are:
First, what is IMHA?
Second, your rights under the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act (2022).
Third, how to use IMHA’s 6-step self-advocacy model to speak up for what you want.
Fourth, where to go to find support to speak up for what you want.
This workshop is specifically for Deaf and hard of hearing people who use mental health services or support someone who does.
How to register for the event?
There is two ways to register for the event, with first using the QR code and second, go on link to register.
Once you have registered, you will have access to Teams where the workshop is being held.
