Part5:Forms of Morita Therapy Practice – Japanese Morita Therapy– An Introduction
The theme of the Mental Health & Morita Therapy Seminar Vol.1 is “Japanese Morita Therapy– An Introduction.”
The lecturer is Dr. Masahiro Minami, PhD, a Certified Morita Psychotherapist (#24) and an Associate Professor at Simon Fraser University, Canada.
The content of the fifth session is” Forms of Morita Therapy Practice”
Morita Therapy adopts different forms depending on the patient’s condition, including “inpatient therapy” and “outpatient therapy.”
Inpatient therapy is designed for severe cases and involves a step-by-step program starting with rest and gradually increasing activities.
Outpatient therapy, on the other hand, allows mild cases to learn Morita Therapy experientially through self-study and workshops. The goal of both approaches is not symptom elimination but supporting patients in advancing toward their recovery goals.
