Postpartum depression/ signs generally set in month 3 onwards with hormones crashing & additionally having been deprived of sleep, timely meals, a good bath or social disconnect aggravates the mental emotional state more.
Having been in the abyss a decade ago and having undergone a counselling & treatment for same am being mindful this time around on how I catch the way I feel as it had interfered with my breastfeeding journey briefly back then!
These are few thoughts I have been gently reminding myself since day 1 post birth as emotions keep crashing down having been through toughest postpartum phase this time around. No one is prepared for what comes but having practiced meditations and affirmations have kept my boat afloat! Sharing it here if it resonates with a overwhelmed overworked mum!
