Mental health in humanitarian emergencies

Wars and outbreaks end eventually. Wounds heal. Homes are rebuilt.

But the #mentalhealth impact of emergencies often goes unnoticed and untreated.

On today’s #worldmentalhealthday , the World Health Organization is drawing attention to mental health in humanitarian emergencies.

Beyond food, water and medicine, people also need mental health and psychosocial support to cope, recover, and rebuild.
