  4. I detest the STAR interview technique. As a 45 year old woman with over 25years of work experience and who has recently re-trained, trying to distill my varied and plentiful experience into one ‘STAR’ example technique is extremely frustrating and more suited to recent graduates with more limited experience.
    I am really struggling to work to this model,,, but realise it is the ‘one size fits all’ approach these days’. 😢

I have recently been attending several behavioral based interviews within the energy sector and I have come across one question that really got me off balance.   7. I'm not sure how much info a hirer can gleen from STAR response. Seems counterproductive, imho. Nevertheless, thanks for all the videos! They offered me the job. 🎉

  8. It is possible to fake the behavioral situation and impress the interviewer. But employers have no other choice because literally 100s of candidates apply for a single role, and they have to eliminate many among the top few they selected to interview. So the most articulative candidate wins. How they behave in real job is altogether a different matter.

  9. man, behavioral interviews are tough! i tried using the STAR technique, but my stories were all over the place, lol. then i found The Thinksters. i was solving cases solo but flopped at Bain interviews. their session helped me straighten up. finally got my offer—through mckinsey! don’t know if they still do free sessions, but they were gold back then!

  11. How to answer questions which we never faced? If a fresher getting interviewed and havent came across any real time situations asked in Interview do we make up the answer like fake one?

OMG, what is BS about multitask??? you wonna to say that somebody was able to COMPLETE the double amount of work in time by just shuffling priorities and without any tradeoffs or real downsides? What the rubbish you are talking here! Seems like you HRs may come up soon with the source of free energy out of emptiness.
