LOS ANGELES – Reality television star Chrishell Stause is saying goodbye to “Selling Sunset.”

What they’re saying:

“I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially,” she told Bustle in the interview published on Nov. 7. “I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health.”

She added: “If they do continue, I wish them the best… If they do another one, by then, I may not watch it. I don’t know. But I have no ill will toward the show. The show has given me so many opportunities, and I don’t want to be bitter about it, even though I’m leaving not in the way that I would’ve loved.”

The 44-year-old also took to social media to address her departure on her Instagram Stories.

“Although the season ended on a bit of a sour note, I will truly always be SO grateful to this show. It introduced me to you guys and l am deeply thankful for your support,” she wrote. “There were lots of fun memories I am going to focus on from here on out and you will see me again so it’s not goodbye. Just goodbye for now.”

It is unclear whether Stause is leaving the Oppenheim Group in addition to the show, but in another Instagram Story, Stause records her partner G Flip waving goodbye to the Oppenheim Group building while driving on Sunset Blvd.

Chrishell on ‘Selling Sunset’ reunion

The backstory:

The news comes on the heels of Stause’s appearance on the Season 9 reunion. During the episode, she had several heated interactions with her co-stars.

During the reunion and in recent weeks, she has also opened up on social media about her drama with former best friend and costar of “Selling Sunset” Emma Hernan. The drama stems from Stause’s accusations that Hernan’s boyfriend, Blake Davis, made offensive comments about her partner, G Flip.

In 2022, Stause confirmed she was in a new relationship with nonbinary Australian drummer G Flip during the first “Selling Sunset” reunion.

The 40-year-old real estate agent admitted she “recently met someone” after discussing her ill-fated, months-long romance with her boss Jason Oppenheim, which played out during season five of the popular reality show.

“You guys just saw me have this serious relationship, and I hope to have a family, but I’ve also taken off some of the pressure on myself. I’m just kind of enjoying right now and having a lot of fun, and dating,” she said.

Stause and G Flip tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in 2023.
