Struggles With OCD #shorts #mentalhealth

so I was about nine years old when I started making little changes to my everyday life you see I was right-handed and I very much favored my right hand in fact I did just about everything I could with my right hand or my right leg anything like that I would just hate using my left hand for anything I even had to step on cracks in the road or pavement with my right foot crazy right anyway when I was 10 years old one day I suddenly thought what was I doing why was I completely leaving out my left hand notice how I say leaving out that was what it felt like it felt like I needed to even things out to make it fair that was when my OCD started I guess

  1. Guys, i need your opinion in this before i tell my parents..
I am 13 and i feel like, whatever i do is getting weird wondering if i have ocd..

i didnt knew such thing existed before i came up to some videos..
I thought, its just me and never thought it could be a mental illness.

So, i always feel like for example, i am hoping out for washroom, i unlocked the door and went, when im done, i am out of the washroom, i lock it but its like when i lock it my mind says "You didnt heard the locking sound from your left ear properly, do it or else you will stay awake all night" or like "one of your eyes heard it more loudly so lock it again and make the locking sound from each eye equal"

    Like that,
Or when, im going i didnt locked some place door, my mind is like "lock it or else you wont be able to leave this place"
Or like "lock it from your right hand too or else"

    Like that..
I get so confused, i always overthink that, "i might get sick eating this, what if its expired, i might get cancer, i might get this that and all"
And sometimes i am like, wash your hands before eating or your getting sick, now its fine to wash hands but it should be accurate like if i wash my hand, i cant touch anything else like remote for switching on my tv i just have to eat or touch it from the hand im not eating my food with..

And if i accidentally touch it, i need to wash it again..

Guys, im so confused about this, please help me!! Is it OCD?

  2. I have ocd, and people most would actually not guess it because my room was allways messy and my hand writing was horrible but the reason why my room always is messy is because I have thought about for example if I’m not trow all of my clothes out of my closet will my cat die, this is a part of ocd but also forced thoughts and it’s really annoying and I just hate ocd it’s the worst thing ever😭😭😭

  3. OMG FR! Sometimes i’m walking and then my right leg feels like it has more steps or whatever than the left one. So then i have to even them both out and shake the left one or walk more with the left one to get them more even but it always seems like one has more and ITS SOSOOOOOSSOSOSO ANNYONGGG

  4. Just realized i have this problem and it has been eating my mind everyday, like I’m supposed to be peaceful with God but everyday just doesn’t feel right, I always felt pressured and everyday i just feel worse and worse, like the only phobia I’ve had recently is sinning, if i keep doing repetitive sins, i’m not being sincere to God and I may not enter heaven, then i realized I can’t be perfect because i’m not a saint, I’ve been using that phrase in my mind ever since, ig the ocd i have is becoming more minimized. But I still want a prayer for me, I also pray for many Christians out there struggling with this problem, I hope they’ll beat it.

  5. For me it was in 2022:

Ooh you touched it once now you need to touch it an even number of times or your age

    Now its:

Ooh you touched it now touch it your age, or a uneven number or 15 times bc why not.

  6. I thought i was the only person like this. I actually do the right foot on the crack and then sometimes feeling bad for my left hand or foot for not doing enough, so I something with it more with my left foot/hand, but three times more with my right.

  7. This is relatable now I am trying to become ambidextrous because of this same exact thing now I have to type the same amount of equal times with each hand and I don't know why I haven't been diagnosed with anything which I am glad about. But to the people who do have OCD I hope you don't have much struggles . Have a good day/good night!!!!

  8. Yes me have left hand ocd too. I thought that it was started becoz my country's traditional reasons psychology. But i wonder a foreigner like u having the left hand ocd.. so its not becoz of just like traditional reasons

  9. Yeah idk is iced is like u need to like equal things bc example I was at school and was typing on my computer and I wasn't using my left hand to much than my right hand so I kept it equal

  10. I am confused yall can you tell me if I have it:
I have to touch every blue tile on the wall or else and if I don’t I touch the next one twice
I have to touch every floorboard end on the ground
I have to brush my hair 3 times on each side
I have to NOT step on any cracks or else I am rly sad and angry
    Yall pls tell me
Also I hope everyone who has it is doing ok❤

  11. Having an ocd can be tough. I have experienced the same things. Using one side obsessively and putting too much importance to insignificant things, getting angry over little stuff. I realised my ocd habits when i went to live in college hostel. I often questioned my actions back in childhood but now not anymore since people dont care either way as long as the work is done and i dont hinder others. Ocd is often joked with or looked at as a simple cleaning obsession but what goes on in our brain is extreme overthinking and anxiety.

  12. This has been going on for me for at least two years. My ocd has gotten way worse and eventually I started developing more and more rituals that I have to complete or else I feel something bad will happen. I’m looking into therapy before it’s too late.

  13. Ok wait. I’ve been trying to figure out whether or not I have ocd, and most videos I’ve seen have all said it’s pretty much when you’re paranoid about leaving the oven on or washing your hands, but that’s not what I do. I have to make sure everything’s even, and if it’s not even I have a breakdown. For example, if I’m eating chips I have to eat two chips on the left side of my mouth and two on the right side, and if I’m walking on the side walk I have to step on two cracks with the left foot and two with the right. Once I was at the doctor and I broke down because they were only giving me one shot in my right arm. Is this ocd or something else? I thought I didn’t have it, but this video made me question that.

  14. I was rlly little when I started doing things like this, now its my annoying life style. OCD is a thing that makes me stand out and be judged, if I'm not perfect I feel like everyone will hate me. So OCD scary and people saying," If I had OCD my parents would love me more" I hope I have made them think. Evening things out is a common thing for me too. If I don't even it out then I feel sick or stressed. Knowing that I'm not the only one makes me feel comfortable knowing that there is people like me out there and I don't have to be scared anymore.

  15. i have a little question. Is there a chance i have OCD if i keep counting things over and over again? I organize things by colors and everything needs to be perfectly in the corner. But i'm not sure if it's OCD tho could u help me a bit?

  16. I was also 10 and I just didn’t want to leave out my left hand so I was liek. I MUST but then it hit my brain and I had to start doing all this wild stuff Eo I and my parents could stay alive (obviously ik they will still be alive but the voice in my head never goes away)

  17. i am like this with my left hand except for the fact that i’m right handed so i still write with my right hand but a lot of things i do mainly with my left hand
