A Sneak Peek Inside the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center
Just two short months before opening its doors, the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center hosted
the team members who will change lives inside. MOLLY FOX: “It makes me feel proud and
humble. This is such a beautiful place to be in um and to be able to show our
families. It truly is a special moment.” Energy buzzed from room to room
celebrating how Children’s Nebraska is elevating the standard of care when
it comes to pediatric mental health. MOLLY FOX: “This is a dream come true for me.
Um, in navigating my own mental health struggles, being young and not having a lot of
support was really hard. And being here, I realized where I could have end up. And
I want to help our kiddos do the same.” This new, innovative approach
attracting team members from not only the Omaha area, but surrounding states. MARISSA SCHWARTZ: “I’ve worked at all
of these facilities while I traveled and everywhere that was already made
where this is an opportunity to build a facility with people that have the
true um want to do that as well. So, it was a great opportunity to really
just see a building go to life.” Along with this team breathing
life into the building comes a message of hope for the community
upon opening in early January. MARISSA SCHWARTZ: “To be able to
watch a facility help a facility grow to what the community needs, not
something that’s already established, but what the community needs to watch it grow.
How could you not want to be part of that?”
Team members from the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center at Children’s Nebraska are busy preparing for the facility’s grand opening in January 2026, and earlier this week, our Behavioral Health team and their families got a first look inside the building. Watch to hear team members’ first impressions of how this thoughtfully designed center will change pediatric behavioral healthcare for youth and their families across Nebraska and the region.
