Maximize Your VA Mental Health Claim: Top Secrets Revealed!
this is what you need to know about your mental VA rating and nothing else forget everything else forget everything that you’ve heard I’m going to give you a single Target a point of focus to attack for your mental rating and that is it I’m going to make it super simple for you in less than four minutes so if you’re watching this hit that subscribe button and hit that like button so I can continue to deliver value straight to you in a manner that respects your time let’s get right into it the number one thing that you need to know first is that you can only be compensated once for a mental rating meaning if you have depression PTSD and anxiety you’re not getting three separate ratings those are all going to be lumped into one mental rating the second thing is all mental ratings are treated with the exact same rating criteria even insomnia so insomnia and PTSD are rated with the exact same criteria let’s get into it the thing that you need to focus on and what I see so many vets get tripped up on is that everything needs to tie into your social and occupational impairment how does your service connected mental condition lead to your social and occupational impairment here’s what I see that’s doing you ever have someone maybe who’s won a case practically right that they’re they’re in a court case and they’ve practically won maybe they need to take the stand one more time and basically clear through it I’ll answer a couple questions they get on the stand and now they start talking too much what are you doing the lawyer gets nervous hey stop talking and they keep talking and talking what are you doing you’re throwing the case you just had it in the bag your personal statements about your personal statements should be doing the majority of the heavy lifting for your mental claims when you go in there for the CMP exam and you start talking way too much about how bad your condition makes you feel it’s not a therapy session you’re on a mission and we need to stay on target this is the target social and occupational impairment it’s fine to talk about how bad your mental condition makes you feel okay it’s completely fine that’s totally normal however you need to present it okay not just say it here’s what I mean by that presenting is being cognizant of where you’re at having perspicacity to know that I’m speaking to someone it means that you’re taking into account your audience right now I’m presenting to you I’m not just talking to you I’m cognizant of my body language I’m cognizant of how I’m presented I’m dressing a certain way I’m not just telling you okay just telling you would be like okay my PTSD makes me really sad um I missed my son’s birthday party because I was sad yada yada and you don’t tie it into hey by the way I blew up on my boss at work okay and now I gotta write up because of my service connected ailment and by the way my wife and I were hanging by a thread because maybe I wear this uh sleep aid or have something I can’t sleep I’m tossing and turning I can’t even sleep in my own bedroom and now my wife and I are having trouble with our relationship that’s social impairment occupational impairment you need to present you need to be cognizant and maintain situational awareness vets the CMP exam is not a therapy session it’s not there for you to vent if you want to go ahead and make the CMP examiner try to feel sorry for you without turning it into social and occupational impairment you’re shooting yourselves in the foot okay so I hope this helps everything needs to have and be tied into social and occupational impairment and for a 100 rating a hundred percent mental rating is categorized as total social and occupational impairment due to the symptoms listed in CFR 38 but the focus here two words social and occupational and a third impairment remember that you’re gonna do just fine vets again subscribe hit that like button if you continue to like this value delivered straight to your inbox other than that I’ll see you in the next one cheers

I just wanted to take the time to stop by and thank you for this video and advice! I did what you said and I was just bumped from a 40% for my other inservice connected disabilities to 70% with my anxiety diagnosis! Thank you so much for helping me navigate this rough terrain.
“It’s not a therapy session”
– that’s crucial 💯
Got my doctor appt tommorow let’s see how this gooooes …
Solid guidance, thank you! Its important to ne reminded that there IS a target we want to hit, and it is great to know to keep on mission (and not try to turn it into therapy)! Great stuff!
i tried this…maybe did more talking than I should have, because of not understanding process. Only to be not only denied, but they didn't even consider my claim to be service connected…it angers me that you have people out there scamming and getting these crazy percentages when real people whove served 10, 15, 20, or more years (vietnam vets even) being denied…makes no sense!
Sir, what of your C@P examiner gives you medication because you have had pneumonia for 16 days between the lung x-ray and the C@P exam. I received the prescription for pneumonia before the exam started over the claims
I’m glad the way you phrased it as it not being a therapy session but more of testimony I guess you could say.
I totally isolate myself, including avoiding my wife and dogs.
And they’re supposed to be here for my support structure.
Most of the time I find them to be too invasive and when I say, I just wanna be left alone, I mean that quite literally.
I qualified for PTSD at the VA. But they have refused to allow me to get PTSD treatment for the past 5 years. They seem very concerned that I have had such severe & torturous abuses for decades that I must have bad thoughts. I refuse to entertain such thoughts. Friends have mentioned that the severe abuse to my body and life are allowing people to get away with serious crime that could lead to serious circumstances. The VA is concerned that I might have such suspicions. But my very severe medical issues were not even mentioned. I was taken off pain meds that worked and forced onto bupinorphine after ovarian cancer surgery. There is so much more. I am a pioneer woman West Point grad who has endured horrible shenanigans for decades. I deserve better! I believe in living a life of integrity. I thank my West Point education for instilling this in me. I hope & pray that integrity and faith in God (not religion), finds it's way back into our nation! Many thanks for your channel!
is it better to use one claim for that lists all the disabilities (mental health, skin problems, tinnitus etc) on one claim form or make separate claim forms for each symptom?
Great stuff. Thank you
I just want to be clear, so if I get diagnosed with ADHD, it will be combined with depression, ptsd, and anxiety. Or with ADHD be separate from the other three.
You claim to be 100% with TDIU. How do you earn money by offering claims support and keep the TDIU rating?
I filed for PTSD and ended up with major depression disorder and anxious distress diagnosed.. but it isn't service connected… how do I fix that
Is it possible to get a combat AND non-combat related PTSD rating?
every time i talked evidence and connection to social and occupational imparement, my examiner interuped me.
Can I just tell the truth. I hate people and I rather be alone.
Ok so I wrote my personal statement already and I put in an intent to file but do I need to get diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I made an appointment with a mental health place but I’m feeling too nervous to show up. I hate answering questions. I hate talking about myself or my past.
That was short and sweet.
I followed what he said to do and just got my 100% rating in. Thank you! I would recommend to anybody watching to pay attention.
VA surveys always come out before the results of a C&P are in. Why answer the results if you have no idea if they are good or bad results??? This seems like a VA trick to fool vets into saying something nice about the VA before they sometimes get shafted. I'd love to see a video on this VA Ploy and advice on why Vets should wait to answer surveys until the whole experience has been run through.
I was told by my va doctor to file a TDIU mental health disability claim but I'm being told by my VSO it's not service connected, I don't know what to do or where to turn
I just want to say thank you man. Listening to your advice I made it to 100 P&T
They denied me for PTSD, depression and anxiety. However from my c and p exam it stated I was diagnosed with all 3. I’m putting in another supplemental claim and definitely adding another personal statement so whoever is reviewing my case can see this. If anyone has any additional tips , info, or guidance that would be great! Thank you in advance!
Impossible. The red tape and bureaucracy are impossible to deal with. I have been waiting over 3 years for a claim appeal.
We are being pushed aside by the Veterans Administration deliberately. I have submitted proof and included my Nexus letter but still no response
whatsoever from the VA
we have a culture of entitlement and weak troops. Even troops who never went to war are claiming ptsd and mst in record numbers for a quick buck from Uncle Sam. Fraud and dishonesty is rampant and these “claims companies” are making it worse by being a conflict of interest providing medical evidence for money. It’s not sustainable and soon truly disabled Veterans will lose their benefits.
