#pov the reality of being a guy with a mental health disorder…

How people treat guys with mental health issues. Yo, bro. Are you seriously crying right now? Bro, crow the up. You’re acting like such a girl. Hey, bro. Do you think I could talk to you about something? No, bro. Just man up. All right, you’ll be fine. Just get over yourself. You understand that? I don’t want to be here anymore. You’re a man. Stop acting like this. You want something to eat? No, I’m uh I’m good. I’m sick. Why? What are you doing? starving yourself. You’re not a teenage girl, bro. Get over yourself and just eat something.

  1. Im so glad that my bf has his best friend he can talk to. They always go on walks together and talk about their shit. He's also open about it and tells me about it i also know when they talk about me. Im so grateful he just has another guy to rely on.

  2. Im a biological girl and look like a girl but do they/him pronouns and thats what people say to me cauae in america atleast at my school there are sooo many suicide people its normal

  3. I HATE it when people think men are just emotionless. My bf is trans and he still gets his periods, but he looks and sounds rlly masc. I just let him talk it out and we equal up. No hate for him please 🙂

  4. Bro if my guy best friend ever did anything or said anything like this id try to make him feel better, guys have mental health too
Like being a man doesn't automatically make you unable to cry
[Insert virtual hug to anyone going through this]

  5. Women and men need to be protected from the ones who act like that toward them. It's honestly sick. There's problems for both men and women and some peopel can't see that, it's not just the women, and it's not just the men. Help them out, don't tell them to grow up. We all have different sensitivities and different needs no matter what gender.

  6. As a trans guy, I have to deal with this when I’m closeted to my friends. It’s especially worse when I’m on my period. And it sucks, dude. Like really bad bc my friends then call me a p*ssy when I start crying when I spill my food.

  7. This is so true. I’m a girl with mental health issues but I always feel like it’s only reasonable for girls to have these issues, because at school assembly’s and stuff, in the examples they show about mental illnesses, it’s always a girl

  8. Yes, I will say, it's disgusting that men are treated that way, but have you ever noticed that men are taught and raised to be the exact opposite of women? When he said "your acting like a girl" he meant it in a bad way, basically saying the way we act is bad.

  9. as a girl who grew up with a male friend who where super bullied beacuse he was born and lived with horses i know he had so tough back then. i was his only friend and all of his male "friends" just laughed at him when he cried and when i defended him ( slaping the mean guys) he got anxiety

  10. That is just rude to say "urw a man not a gurl" like tf THEY JUST DONT UNDERSTAND like peopel who have issues like me say people need to inderatand what we have been through k si if u habe issues support ureself and put people in there place❤❤❤❤

  11. I feel that today’s society really looks over guys mental health I’m a girl and I feel like me and my friends always check up on each other but I feel like guys dont do that and everyone thinks just because there a guy they can handle it and a lot of guys mental health gets looked over and it’s really sad because I feel like with guys you have to be really close to talk about thing like that and it really upsets me how much people just don’t care about guys mental health these days just because there a guy doesn’t mean they don’t struggle to

  12. I always try to help, whenever those conversation topics come up, because i know many guys don't get to openly talk about their feelings and problems, i make sure to let them know they can tell me, that their feelings and opinions are valid and to not be afraid to talk it out, but usually its themself saying: nah, i'm a man.

  13. This is way to real. Im a girl, but ive had guys ask me if i get grossed out when they try to show emotion. I honestly hate this, because i know guys who go through stuff like this, then suffer more because of it

  14. I want my partner(when I have one) to never feel the need to hide there feelings away from me. If you need to cry I understand if you need to talk I also understand. Girl, guy or any other human we have feelings and I’ll treat his, her, or their feeling as if it’s the only thing I have left. 🫶
