LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Hope Means Nevada (HMN), a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth mental health and eliminating youth suicide in the state, has announced a collaboration with the Las Vegas Raiders as part of the NFL’s annual My Cause My Cleats campaign. This initiative allows players to showcase custom-designed cleats representing causes important to them.

This season, Las Vegas Raiders offensive guard Caleb Rogers has chosen Hope Means Nevada to raise awareness of the youth mental health crisis affecting the state.

Rogers’ custom cleats, featuring the HMN logo and messaging, will debut during Unboxing Week, starting Monday, Nov. 17, drawing national attention to the urgent issue of youth suicide prevention.

Nevada ranks last among states and jurisdictions in Mental Health America’s 2025 State of Mental Health in America report, indicating the highest prevalence of youth mental health challenges and the lowest access to care nationwide.

The report highlights that over 22.6% of adolescents in Nevada experienced a major depressive episode in the past year, nearly 14.2% reported serious thoughts of suicide, and almost 38% did not receive a preventive doctor’s visit within a year, missing key opportunities to address mental health concerns early.

“Caleb Rogers’ choice to represent Hope Means Nevada through the My Cause My Cleats campaign is a powerful reminder that mental health matters and that no teen should struggle alone,” said Janna Velasco, executive director of Hope Means Nevada. “His support helps us amplify the message of hope to young people across the state and encourages conversations that can truly save lives.”

Ebere Arum, senior director of community relations for the Las Vegas Raiders, added, “The Raiders are committed to uplifting the youth in our community, and we believe every young person deserves access to support and a chance to thrive. By choosing Hope Means Nevada through the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats initiative, Caleb Rogers and several teammates are helping bring needed awareness and resources to a critical issue. We are proud to collaborate with an organization making such a meaningful difference for Nevada’s youth.”

Hope Means Nevada aims to eliminate teen suicide and empower Nevada’s youth to live hopeful lives. As a leading mental health resource in the state, HMN fosters a culture of empathy and advocacy around mental health, striving to amplify hope and connect youth with essential resources.
