BURGLARY AND VANDALISM TURNING TO HEALTH NEWS A COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO HEALTH AGENCY HAS RELEASED A REPORT THAT TAKES A LOOK AT THE CURRENT STATE OF ADULT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE ACROSS THE COUNTY >> HE IS THE WAYS THAT ARE THAT WE GO IN JUNIOR SHARES WHAT LOCAL OFFICIALS ARE SAYING >> THIS REPORT IS AIMED AT PROVIDING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE COUNTY ON HOW TO IMPROVE THEIR DELIVERY OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT SERVICES FOR ADULTS THROUGHOUT SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY >> AND YOU REPORT CALLED TO STRENGTHENING THE SYSTEM OF ADULT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE IN SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY WAS CREATED BY THE NONPROFIT TRANSITIONS MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION AND THE COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO HEALTH AGENCY THEY’RE USING THEIR LATEST DATA TO DEVELOP THE 5 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN TO IMPROVE ADULT MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR THE COUNTY’S MOST VULNERABLE COMMUNITY MEMBERS THIS IS GOING TO BE CRITICAL INPUT INTO KNOWING THE THINGS THAT WE DON’T KNOW SO WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES THAT EXIST WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY >> AND WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT WE CAN DO BETTER AND THIS IS GOING TO TELL US THE HOLES THAT CURRENTLY EXIST THE GAPS THAT EXIST WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY WITH WITH BHAVIOR LOSS OF MENTAL HEALTH OF THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE BY UNDERSTANDING THOSE GAPS WE’RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO COME UP WITH A BETTER 5 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN TRANSITIONS MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION HAS BEEN PARTNERING WITH SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY’S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT SINCE 1979 THE NONPROFIT IS A DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SUPPORT TO TEENS AND ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS AND THEIR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COUNTY HAS GIVEN THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK AT THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN THE AREA MY HOPE FOR PROJECT IS THAT THE BEHAVIOR HEALTH SYSTEM IMPROVES ITS RESPONSE TO PEOPLE IN CRISIS SO THAT IS THE TIME WHERE REALLY PEOPLE NEED IMMEDIATE HELP WE KNOW THE DATA SHOWS THAT IF THEY GET HELP QUICKLY THAT THEIR OUTCOMES ARE BETTER SO FOR ME THAT WOULD BE THE PRIMARY GOAL THE 53 PAGE ANALYSIS LOOKS AT GAPS IN CURRENT CARE AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT AND SERVICE EXPANSION AS WELL AS EXISTING STRENGTHS UPON WHICH TO BUILD ONE STRENGTH THEY IDENTIFIED WAS HOW CERTAIN CLINICAL PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN MEETING THE FULL RANGE NEEDS OF VULNERABLE HEALTH CLAIMS BUT LIMITATIONS INCLUDE THE LACK OF RSIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAMS IN THE PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATIONS FOR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS IN LIMITED HOUSING OPTIONS GAP ANALYSIS POINTED OUT A FEW DIFFERENT THINGS >> I THINK ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE COMMUNITY THEY NOTED THAT WE AREAS WITHIN OUR CRISIS CONTINUUM OF CARE THAT WE CAN IMPROVE UPON AND WE’RE LOOKING TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO A WORKFORCE SHORTAGE OF THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FIELD WAS ALSO NOTED THE RPORT SAID THE COST OF LIVING I SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIRTUAL WORK AND RELUCTANCE TO RETURN TO IN-PERSON SETTINGS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PROBLEM THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ISSUE >> MENTAL HEALTH DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY >> AND WE REALLY WANT TO PUT THE RIGHT RESOURCES IN PLACE SO THAT WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE >> THE REPORT IS CURRENTLY BEING SHARED WITH THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS LOCAL AGENCIES AND PRIVATE BUSINESSES

I have yet to meet one TMHA employee that has any authentic care, empathy, compassion or understanding of any kind since Joe Madsen left us.
TMHA hires abusive, inept, lying, boundary breaking, bullying & gaslighting staff. All but one of the many Case/Resident Managers here has been fired for abuse, insubordination, and/or lawlesness;
-TMHA is highly manipulative & retaliatory and 100% unlearnt in compassionate/empathic communication;
-TMHA never takes accountability for their lying, gaslighting, constant non follow-through of their promises, they turn blame (for their own behavior/hurtful actions) around on the tenant (Trump mentality);
-Diversion is their way of communicating. Two previous Resident Managers have told me personally that this is how Jill has told them to communicate with tenants;
-Lorraine is inept, hypocritical, a liar, lazy, psychologically abusive and spends most of her day smoking with tenants outside. Neither Cody, nor Jill (Executive Director) would hear my complaints. Instead, I was quickly shut out by their saying they didn't believe Lorraine would say or do the things that she actually DID without ANY investigation or even hearing my truth. This alone has triggered daily flashbacks to highly traumatic horrors from my life. Further, for them to have the AUDACITY to twist it so that somehow I am deserving of their punitive behavior/actions towards me merely because I am angry with their punitive behavior and I stand up for myself is sick. These 3 have all personally and intentionally inflicted severe emotional distress upon my life by intentionally triggering past traumas and then laughing. The other case manager here is good with doing the physical work required of her and is friendly, but has zero empathy, understanding or listening skills, sadly.
-They collude with each other to get their lying stories straight and will continuously kick you when you're down. They bullied me the entire month that my beloved lifeline cat was dying. They were relentless during one of the worst & saddest times of my life. It was like being beaten repeatedly when you're already down with grief. Nothing short of sadistic!
-Lorraine started her abuse & game playing with me after I kindly asked for a boundary that she please not bring certain things up with me because they are huge triggers to multiple traumatic events from my life. She then intentionally began bringing up these triggering things repeatedly, in a joking way, and then laughed out loud in front of me as she continued to taunt me. I was horrified each time. I had to demand that she refrain from all communication with me and I'm still traumatized daily by her actions. None of them even know who I am, but they're very quick to judge and punish anyone that doesn't agree with them. What kind of sadistic person laughs sarcastically at another human being while they're hurting?!
Not one of them even knows me, my character, my personality. Only Joe did. Their actions are based on their own assumptions, not on truth.
-I have never felt safety or belonging here.
-If you stand up for your humanitarian rights here, TMHA WILL punish you and do everything to make you doubt yourself.
-The public has the absolute right to know what goes on up here! I am not the only one who has experienced mental and emotional abuse by TMHA staff here but am just speaking for myself and from my experiences since moving here in 2019.
-I hope HASLO takes completely over soon!
-Give me a lie detector test, then give one also to Lorraine, Cody and Jill. I have NO problem with doing this because truth is truth.
-They have made it very clear that I, and my life do not matter.
-The rest of their little secrets of events here WILL come out and I'll tell anyone who wants to know. Just no space here.
-NOT a safe place to live! I am sadly financially stuck for now.
-Fairness and seeking justice is who I've always been since I was a kid and I'll NEVER stay quiet when I see cruelty and unfairness. Make your voice heard so those in the future will also have a voice!
