Why Did You Choose the Doctor of Behavioral Health Degree? | DBH Alumna Interview: Dr. Jilian Aesir
I began to do my research and figure out what qualifications are needed because despite the fact that I’d had all of this experience working with helping our teenagers navigate their their mental and emotional well-being for years pre- pandemic, I needed something to further legitimize the work that I did and and to help me bring the vision that I had for mental health for my district to my district. And so as I I researched, I continued looking at different programs and a doctorate of behavioral health popped up. And as I continued exploring the couple programs that were out there, I really appreciated um CGI’s blatant overt passion for disruption. And and although up until that point I never really considered I never referred to myself as a disruptor. That wasn’t a just it wasn’t a term for me. I appreciated the fact that they would so shamelessly speak of making these larger changes whether individuals like it or not for the betterment of the field.
