i’m alyssia aldirae and i’m the national director for eating disorder admissions i oversee the admissions department for the eating disorder network i’ve chosen to work in the mental health field because it’s very near and dear to my heart i’m a recovered addict and an eating disorder recovery as well having walked the walk it means so much more for me to be able to connect with people i’m really driven from a space of authenticity to bring people hope authenticity and integrity are pillars that are required to do good work in the mental health field and building a department of my own that can feed into that positivity is something that really means a lot i hand pick everyone on my team because it requires them to be compassionate to be driven by authentically wanting to help people to spreading the word of recovery and being a beacon of light for these people in a really dark place we focus on the client we focus on guiding them through a really difficult time and we provide them with transparency and honesty we answer all questions that they have and we remind them that they can have recovery one of the things that i really appreciate about odyssey is that all the way to the top everyone cares from the day of my interview and i met with everyone it meant a lot to see that people genuinely wanted to help people and they have a lot of resources we have an eating disorder network so we have multiple options for anyone calling in we have programs that are related to mental health and substance abuse and the odyssey eating disorder network is a program that i would have loved to attended or i’d love to send one of my friends or loved ones to i really trust in what they can do you
