Kai Cenat is speaking out about mental health after taking a break from streaming.
While accepting the award for Best Streamed Collab at the 2025 Streamer Awards on Saturday (Dec. 6), the 23-year-old had some words of wisdom. “One thing I wanted to say to you guys tonight is I hope a lot of creators in here and everybody at home and the viewers and the streamers really take care of your mental health,” he said.
“I just noticed that recently I just been going through things in my head and I was able to, you know, turn to anime—Death Note, Naruto recently since I’ve been gone and I just been able to find happiness within that.”
On the subject of collaborations, Cenat said, “I want to preach to everybody like within our community, us collabing is everything … And I know this year has been very difficult on the fan bases, the communities, and of streaming in general. And as long as we don’t tear each other apart and let that get in between us, we going to be just fine. So, I appreciate y’all.”
At another point in the evening, streamer Tylil came to Cenat’s defense after another streamer, FanFan, who was gearing up to present an award, jokingly addressed Cenat, saying, “This year, as everyone knows, you broke the record for the most expensive haircut and the least educational university.”
“Oh, and also, congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right?” she added, to mostly muted responses.
“If you’re going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny,” Tylil added. “Have a good night.”
