Nonprofit organizations are partnering to present a new Quality of Life and Behavioral Health Community Survey to gain a deeper understanding of mental behavioral health issues in the Yampa Valley.
The communitywide mental health survey is a collaborative project among the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, The Health Partnership, Katz Amsterdam Foundation and other local agencies. Organizers say community member participation in the 10-minute survey can help shape the future of mental health services in the valley.
The survey found at PRCsurvey.com/begin/YampaValley2026 is open to anyone 18 or older and is available in English and Spanish.
The confidential survey asks questions about community connections, quality of life and health needs related to mental health and alcohol use. Organizations will use the survey results to help identify needs and improve and expand mental and behavioral health resources. The survey will stay open until mid-February and hopes to receive input from many diverse voices from people who live or work in Routt and Moffat counties.
“While other community surveys have gathered important data regarding overall health and well-being, this survey will take a deep dive into the critical topic of mental health,” said Brittney Wilburn, executive director at The Health Partnership.
In addition, phone surveys of approximately 400 individuals will be conducted by the PRC research firm into February.
