An integrated outpatient facility held its grand opening in DeLand on Dec. 2, granting West Volusia residents more healthcare opportunities in-county.

SMA Healthcare’s new 18,000 square foot facility is at 1255 N. Stone Street, DeLand.

This new location will provide behavioral health resources and services, such as: mental health outpatient services, substance use treatments, mental health and substance use therapy, psychiatric medication management, case management and medication assisted treatment. Primary care services and a pharmacy are coming soon, according to a news release.

The opening of this new facility took more than a year of planning, a SMA social post stated.

In addition to its outpatient services, the location has dedicated research space for the University of Florida. It also has a landscaped garden with butterfly statues, a nod to it being located within “Monarch City, USA.”
