Balanced Recovery Center, a mental health clinic based in East Longmeadow, is expanding to Worcester next year.

The clinic is opening an office at 51 Union St. which will open on Jan. 5, 2026, according to a spokesperson for Balanced Recovery Center.

“Expanding into Worcester allows Balanced Recovery Center to reinvest in the community that shaped our owners’ clinical careers and aligns with our commitment to accessible, community-based care,” said Melissa Petrillo, the owner of Balanced Recovery Center.

Petrillo told MassLive that many of the company’s founders are from Worcester and earned their graduate degrees in counseling and social work in the city.

She added that there future plans to expand beyond Worcester “as needs are identified and resources allow.”

The services offered by Balanced Recovery Center include day treatments to address addiction and mental health and counseling services, according to its website. Counseling can be done both in-person and virtually. The mental health clinic serves 25 to 30 people at a time, according to Petrillo.

“Our census is intentionally kept small to ensure individualized, high-quality care,” Petrillo said. “This allows our clinical team to offer increased one-to-one support and thoughtfully designed, personalized treatment plans that prioritize connection, safety, and meaningful healing.”
