5 Behaviors That Show Your Mental Health Is Getting Worse
5 Behaviors That Show Your Mental Health Is Getting Worse
In this video, I go over 5 behaviors that can show your mental health is getting worse. These include increased irritability, big changes in appetite, low energy and fatigue, isolating from others, and a decline in hygiene.
Wow never knew this. I’m a big guy and I have no appetite these days. I have not left the house in over a month and everything annoys me. I also have not showered in a month. Wow I do not know
We will keep an eye on you for Symptom #5: — when you let your hair grow into dreadlocks five feet long, you are covered in cookie crumbs and broadcasting videos from your kitchen, while filming in your bathrobe — don’t worry! We will intervene!
AYOO😂😂 even #5 called me out. No but thank you because it explains that it's not just me being lazy, this is informative and useful. 5 ways I can improve and regulate my health.
Had to add about 4) because you only mention isolating because of protectiveness or not wanting to show your true state, but it can also blend together with 3). Meeting people you have to go out, it's tiring, talking is tiring, you may not have enough energy for it. You may not even see any point in it, if it becomes more of a chore but doesn't bring you any joy at all (if you're at the point where nothing brings joy). Then you don't isolate kinda "on purpose", just becomes natural for you.
Yeah, all this "diagnoses" sound fun – until you realize, that when you're under abuse since your childhood, there is no such thing as "before". And when you try to explain this fact to your therapist you hit the wall of them not understaing the problem and blaming you for "not wanting to get better".
What causes these symptoms!?!? Shitty environments and unreasonable expectations from those environments. But some how the "mental health care community" manages to pin it on the person not being willing to slave away for a system in the middle of collapse all while ignoring two thirds of unalived have seen a "mental health care professional" in the last week of their life. Bruh get off the interwebs before some one sues you. Legit. The wHOLE patriarchy is going to bite it.
I’m surprised major changes in sleep aren’t on this list. Goes along with major changes in eating and a decline in overall self-care, such as hygiene and managing health conditions, even drinking enough water. Basically, our fundamental survival instincts are going to heck. I can tell you I was very afraid to admit how bad things were, because I did not want to be forcibly institutionalized and drugged, which I did in fact avoid by keeping things to myself. I needed to keep what agency I was managing to retain. It would really help if people could talk about exactly how bad things are without being forced into “treatment”, which isn’t going to help if the person doesn’t agree it is the best course of action, anyway. That’s just punishing people who are already in a world of hurt even worse for admitting it. 😕
To be honest these dont always mean your mental health is declining, that’s very misleading and bold to come on the internet and say! Most of those can be the result of someone actually upgrading their life to be better. And this is me speaking from that experience which is why I’m saying you’re misleading! I’ve gone through all of these and it’s because of me actually upgrading my life so please be careful with your title saying these things !!
Maybe their mental health isn't getting worse, they are becoming increasingly impatient.
I isolate because I have no one to be around and enjoy solitude over toxic people. Talking about the issue makes it worse which is why I've stopped bringing it up. It also give some space to reset rather than have people asking me whats wrong when either they are the problem and will never change, or they offer shallow comfort without any real help. I would love to be around people, but most people lack the interpersonal skills to make that possible, and everyone else has betrayed my trust beyond repair.

Yep. That’s me, you’re probably wondering how I got here
People who have Narcissists in their life usually experience this often.

Could be chronic fatigue syndrome, i.e. a mitochondrial issue rather than a mental health issue

Irritability is sign of declining mental health. As for isolation, I'm going to get out of it.
Me with iron deficiency and ADHD
Oh, thanks for letting me know that I've just normalized poor mental health my whole life lol
Im doing 4 out of 5. The positive thing is my hygiene is still good.
Just becoming a pandemic for no reason half the country do want to work

I pull away when I need a break from people and to think through my thoughts and feelings… disagree

When the algorithm gets too personal
People with ADHD juggling 3 of these, on rotation, on any given day. 💪🧠💅
Ok but when I get together with people I find more reasons to isolate
