Almost 1,000 callers have reached out to the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) during the 2025 holiday season.
In a statement on Saturday, the Department of Health (DOH) said that 961 calls were received by the DOH Mental Health Hotline from December 21, 2025 to January 2, 2026.
The call volume peaked on December 30, 2025.
Anxiety, depression symptoms, and love relationships were among the topics addressed in the calls.
“Magpapatuloy naman ang surveillance ng kagawaran hanggang January 5 at mananatiling bukas ang mga mental health hotlines,” the statement read.
