ADVOCAP has announced a new partnership with Collaborative Wellness to increase access to mental health care for residents in Fond du Lac. Through this collaboration, licensed therapists will provide confidential, in-person counseling sessions at ADVOCAP’s Fond du Lac office, located at 19 W. 1st Street. Virtual appointments may also be available. The program aims to make mental health support more accessible for individuals and families, especially those who may face barriers to care.

This initiative directly responds to findings from ADVOCAP’s 2025 Community Needs Assessment, which identified access to mental health care as one of the region’s top unmet needs.

All participating therapists accept Medicaid, as well as a variety of other insurance plans. Services include individual, couples, and family therapy, with a trauma-informed and person-centered approach. Therapists manage their own appointments, and clients are encouraged to contact therapists directly to schedule sessions.

“Every day, our staff see how mental health affects housing stability, employment, and family wellbeing,” said Becky Heldt, Homeless Prevention Director at ADVOCAP. “This partnership helps reduce barriers to care for the people and families we support, bringing critical services right into our community.”

Therapists are independent providers and not employees of ADVOCAP. ADVOCAP provides this office space as part of our work to support community health and wellbeing. For more information or to learn about available therapists, visit www.advocap.org/services/mental-health
