Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. You can check on it any time from Healthy Minds Utah.
What is Healthy Minds Utah? Healthy Minds Utah provides free and private screenings for mental health and substance use. Just like you might check your temperature if you’re not feeling well, Healthy Minds offers a way to “check in” on your emotional and mental well-being. They have scientific screening tools that cover a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, postpartum challenges, PTSD, disordered eating, and substance use.
Why use Healthy Minds Utah?
The primary goal of these screenings is to help you understand what you are feeling and determine if those feelings might be signs of a larger issue. It’s not only quick and easy to complete a screening—you can do it on your phone, tablet, or computer—but the screenings are also completely private and don’t collect any personal information. When you’ve completed the screening, you’ll receive your results immediately along with resources and support services in your community that may be helpful.
What should I do after taking a screening?
It’s important to note that these screenings don’t provide an official diagnosis—you need to see a healthcare provider for that.
If the screening results show you may have a mental health concern, make an appointment with a healthcare professional to talk with them about it and get the help you need.
Always talk to a healthcare provider if you have a concern about your mental health, even if a screener doesn’t indicate one. Your healthcare provider can learn more about your concerns and help you.
In addition to talking with your healthcare provider, you can get help from resources and support services in your community. The screener will send you a list of these services with your results.
What should I do if there’s a mental health crisis?
