EAST LYME, CT – There is support close by for those affected by mental health conditions.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southeastern Connecticut offers a Continuum Connection group for individuals ages 28 to 43 years living with mental health conditions. NAMI in a news release said the group offers opportunities to connect with peers, share experiences, and build friendships. Participants talk among themselves in a supportive, confidential way and take part in group activities.

Continuum Connection peer support groups are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. in The Cottage at Brian’s Healing Hearts, 461 Main Street, East Lyme. Upcoming meetings will be held Feb. 3 and Feb. 17.

Also at Brian’s Healing Hearts, NAMI Southeast Connecticut offers a Family Support group for family members, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness.

Family Support groups are held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. The next meeting is Feb. 2, followed by one on Feb. 16.

These NAMI support groups in East Lyme are free and registration is not required. For more information, please click here
