CERRO GORDO COUNTY, Iowa — Cody Williams has announced his candidacy for the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors, District 2.

Williams, a Democrat, says he brings extensive public-sector experience and a focus on practical, people-centered governance.

Williams has lived in Cerro Gordo County for nearly 30 years and currently resides outside of Clear Lake. He says his experience as a mental health professional since 2009 has provided him with insight into the challenges faced by residents and the importance of accessible public services.

For 13 years, Williams has worked with county and state partners to manage funding for Early Childhood initiatives, focusing on fiscal responsibility and transparency. He believes his background prepares him to serve effectively on the Board of Supervisors.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to listen to and learn from the residents of District 2,” Williams said. “County decisions should be rooted in serving North Iowa and making Cerro Gordo County the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Williams’ campaign priorities include lowering property taxes, investing in infrastructure, and ensuring government transparency. He also aims to support economic growth and enhance public health and safety.

Williams will meet with District 2 residents to share his vision for Cerro Gordo County. More information about his campaign can be found at www.codywilliamscg.com.
