The only time I’ll talk about my mental health
Hopefully by sharing my slightly unconventional approach to my mental health, it’s of value to one of you.
I’ve asked my family and friends not to watch this video. It’s not for them. It’s for anyone that might be struggling. You aren’t alone.
You have so much to give this world. Lots of love

Very nice to hear your heartfelt words. You are important, never doubt that.
I am glad you did this video. You have no idea how many people battle the exact same thoughts. I know I do.
Most of our thoughts are lies. I find it amazing how much our mind lies ans we have a choice to believe them or not…thanks for sharing. Funny, you are very successful yet seem to have low self esteem. Very common. Keep your head up, the world is way more interesting with you in it.
Thanks for sharing! I hope it'll become possible to share with family and friends too!
You might want to try out antimicrobials, as many diseases of the brain (including depression) have been found to have a microbial cause, most microbial mass is in gut, but part of it can migrate into brain tissue over the years from a leaky gut via vagus nerve and blood vessels (very good evidence for e.g. Parkinson's). For example, this ALA+DMSA protocol can give good results, but there are others as well. Unfortunately, such treatments will usually result in symptom worsening initially, before it gets better and treatment times are long (years). Thats the same with abx protocols, like Marshall protocol (MP), there are conference presentations about it, and a few papers in pubmed about MP.
That was brave and unselfish of you for sharing.
To me, human interaction does help.
I really like the live stream you did a while ago it kind of felt a bit more like human interaction. Menting that cause that might be something that can help you too.
You are certainly loved by your family. You also made a huge difference for the community.
Hope you are able to see that.
Much respect for sharing. One breath at a time, mate. You got this🙌
Damn. Somebody has to reach out to his family and friends to do something, this is not going to end right!
Finding things that bring pleasure and satisfaction can be a great help. Find time for yourself and persue a hobby or activity. Thanks for sharing Dr Brad
I appreciate the hell out of this, thank you < 3
Dear Brad,
Thank you for your openness and vulnerability in this video. I can relate to many things you said. For me the crisis of losing my father early on led me to search for meaning in this life at a young age. I couldn't be bothered anymore by what everyone seemed to find really important at school: career, status, money. I started meditating and attending (silent) retreats.
English is not my mother tongue but I’ll try to put into words what my journey has been.
At a certain point what changed my perspective was the realisation that I was fully present, even when I did not have any thoughts. Before I thought I had to figure everything out, now I realised that if I stayed in this unknown, silent space, I felt closer to myself than I had ever felt before.
I noticed my body relaxing finally. Trying to stretch that focus became my objective. And I discovered that the longer I stayed there, the more relaxed, sensitive, energetic, creative I felt.
I noticed that any mental effort to understand or to grasp what was happening would immediately block me from this deeper knowing, so I realised I needed to really trust the process and that being present was all I could do.
During these discoveries I had the first experiences of true happiness. I think they were so profound because I realised that before I had been convinced that perfection was only possible if I made it such, and that because I was so imperfect I could never attain it. And now I realised that perfection was the baseline and all I needed to do was get out of the way, mentally: the ‘me trying’. But by staying present, in the moment, in silence, in appreciation, everything would be taken care of and perfection would just reveal itself in everything.
I hope you will find this Brad. There are so many different ways, teachings and everyone is inspired in a different way. I hope, if you or anyone else read this, it will inspire or help you along your way.
Thanks for all the wonderful video’s you make, and for your microvitamin. Bless you ❤
Thanks
Keep up the good work. Get help when you need it. God Bless you and accept life as it comes.
Dr Brad, I hardly know what to say that could be of service to you, but I will try. I am an 81 y/o chiropractor, totally interested in natural health improvements, so I have followed your channel for several months now. I recommend that my patients look at your presentations. I am sure you have researched the things that can provide positive movements in mental health—exercise of course, your family, of course, your friends, your work, and certainly this channel. You are making many positive accomplishments for a better world—the world is a better place because you are in it and active in so many ways. KNOW THAT. Confide in your wife and your friends and let them be part of your therapy.
Thank you. This does help.
You are truly loved Brad. You feel like a friend to me and I'm sure to so very many others that follow your wonderful content. It's not just what you so diligently impart to us that keeps us watching, but who you are as a person shining through.
have you tried metabolic therapy with a keto diet ?
glad you talked & reached out to your friend. .. your wisdom has been a gift to us all.
Jesus is the light. He can change those dark thoughts. He is forgiving. Read the New Testament of the Bible. It works!!! Jesus loves you Brad. You can be a new creation.
Brad this is the most refreshing and authentic I have seen you and I have watched so many of your very informative videos. But after seeing you today you have a place in my thoughts Seeing you like this is far more real and inspiring than you realise. Thank you Brad Id like to think that I am there for you if you need – Marco
On one hand you picked a profession where you encounter a lot of misery and hardship. I imagine it takes it's toll.
On the other hand, you help and heal, which can give you a tremendous sense of purpose and accomplishment.
