Mindy Ellen Levine Behavioral Health Center of Carolinas HealthCare System

In the fall of 2014, a generous gift from The Leon Levine Foundation, as well as three additional foundations associated with the children of Sandra and Leon Levine, were made to support the newly opened behavioral health campus in Davidson. In honor of their gift, the facility bears the name of Mindy Ellen Levine, the late daughter of Leon Levine.

The latest addition to Carolinas HealthCare System’s growing behavioral health programs, the 66-bed behavioral health hospital, located on a 22-acre campus just north of Charlotte, opened in April 2014. The facility was designed to meet a critical need for expanded behavioral health services in the region and represents Carolinas HealthCare System’s strong commitment to behavioral health services.

The beautiful new facility named for Mindy Levine serves a broad range of people who suffer from chronic mental health disorders or have more acute, episodic needs such as psychotic, mood or anxiety disorders. It also offers outpatient behavioral health services for adults and children, including medication management and psychotherapy.
