Rise Above Push Beyond Mental Health Summit 

About one in five people suffer from mental health issues, and many do it in silence.

Crystal Mathis and Dr. Kisha Thomas discuss their upcoming Rise Above Push Beyond mental health summit,  their vision for the summit, and how it focuses on women’s mental health.

The event will focus on mental health awareness, combatting all forms of depression and empowering women to overcome life’s challenges. There will be various guest speakers at this event, including special guest singer Y’Anna Crawley. 

It will take place at the Walker County Civic Center on April 18, at 10:00am. Doors will open at 9:00am. 

Tickets are $45 per person, while supplies last.

Erlanger’s Annual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Conference

Erlanger’s third annual APP Conference will cover a wide range of topics for healthcare professionals. Leslie Turner, Erlanger’s APP Director, discusses the upcoming event. 

The conference will take place Friday, February 20 at The Colonnade in Ringgold. 

The Keynote Dinner will take place Thursday, February 19 at Embassy Suites by Hilton Downtown Chattanooga. Networking runs from 5:00pm-6:00pm and dinner begins at 6:15pm. 

There will also be a keynote speaker, Dr. Darria Long Gillespie.

Alkebulan: The Mother of Mankind 

The Black Arts & Ideas Festival Series will present the theatrical production of ALKEBULAN: The Mother of Mankind. Writer and director Ricardo Morris joins Trends to speak about the performance and the importance of telling this story. 

Their website describes Alkebulan as “an annual theatrical tradition celebrating the totality of black history.” 

The performance will take place at The Howard School on February 26-27, at 7:00pm.
