Inpatients at Princeton House Behavioral Health received cards with messages of love, joy and encouragement on Valentine’s Day, thanks to the students and campus community members at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).

Princeton House offers acute inpatient treatment for adults with mental health or substance use disorder or both. The inpatient hospital has served central New Jersey since 1971. Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospital services, including the Women’s Program, are located in Princeton, Eatontown, Hamilton, Moorestown, and North Brunswick.

“This event means a lot to everyone on our campus,” said Eric Van Eck, Recovery & Prevention Coordinator, TCNJ Collegiate Recovery Program. “We love to spread joy to the patients and staff at Penn Medicine Princeton House Behavioral Health. We want them to know that we are supporting them every step of the way in their recovery journey.”

173 cards were delivered and then handed out to patients and staff by allied clinical therapists at Princeton House. The cards, a part of a twice-a-year initiative, were created by students and staff members at TCNJ’s Ewing campus.

“Our patients are incredibly grateful and look forward to receiving these words of joy and encouragement,” said Yuko Martin, Director of Allied Clinical Therapies at Princeton House. “The artwork is beautiful and creative, and I can see the joy on their faces as they read the messages, knowing that someone truly cares about their recovery. It makes a difference.”

Princeton House Behavioral Health, a division of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, offers both inpatient and outpatient care options. Princeton House includes treatment programs that are customized to meet the needs of children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults, along with specialized programs for men and women.
