STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) – A Waynesboro man and former employee of Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, a mental health facility in Staunton, was sentenced in Staunton Circuit Court on Monday.
Joseph Turner was arrested and charged ack in November 2025 with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child by a custodian. An investigation began when complaints arose about him as an employee at Liberty Point.
Turner pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to five years with four years and nine months suspended, meaning he will serve three months behind bars. Turner must also serve five years of supervised probation upon his release, according to online court records.
