OTC and Prescription Drug Treatments For Sleep Problems (Insomnia)| Natural Sleep Remedies
You are so stressed that you have not slept for several or many nights and you not have insomnia. I discuss the different sleeping pills or sleep medication to treat insomnia, as well as use of sleeping apps.
Sleeping tablets include diazepam (valium), temazepam, zopiclone, zolpidem, mirtazapine, amitriptyline, daridorexant (Quviviq), and over the counter sleeping pills such as phenergan, nytol, kalms, and more natural sleep supplements like valerian, chamomile and magnesium.
Consider sleep apps like sleepio and sleepstation as CBT therapy for sleep.

Diazepam worked a treat for me for getting decent sleep but obviously it's too addicting to be on long term. Recently found that melatonin gummies have been just as good for my sleep. I got ones that have a combination of ashwagandha, chamomile, lemon balm, valerian and lavender. Can take 1 or 2 gummies a night and an hour or so later it's near impossible to stay awake. I get it might not work for everyone but it's worth a try for people wanting to stay off medication
I took Loprazolam for 7 days straight cause I had stress induced insomnia from exams. This was genuinely the worst thing I’ve ever done. Made me feel constantly hungover and it messed with my ADHD meds. I’m starting with an antihistamine. Prescription sleep tablets are a NIGHTMARE.
Murtazapine is hell coming off of.
I have been taking 20mg of ambien and 4mg of xanax for the last 20 years for anxiety and insomnia. Some times I will swap out other benzo for other benzo depending on how well I can get sleep. Clonoazepam is good for me too but after taking them for such a long time you they don't knock you out and make you drowsy anymore. I tried dayvigo which is a new sleep drug and it made me drowzy in 30 minutes but after staying up for an hour the affect went away and did not feel sleepy anymore.
