“Teen Mom” star Jenelle Evans’ 16-year-old son, Jace, is in a mental health facility after allegedly pulling a fun on his grandmother, Barbara Evans.

A representative for Evans confirmed Jace was in a facility to Entertainment Weekly, saying, she is “still trying to find him the best [facility] to meet his needs.”
The rep also confirmed TMZ’s reporting that Jace’s grandmother called 9-1-1 after the reported gun incident.
In February, Jace allegedly threatened to kill himself and Barbara and put a gun to his own head. Officers responded to a “troubled teen disturbance” after Barbara called 911 from her home in North Carolina.
Evans currently lives in Las Vegas, according to her rep, and is a full-time mom to her children Kaiser, 11, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith and Ensley, 9, from her ex-husband David Eason.

Jace is her oldest from her relationship with high school boyfriend Andrew Lewis.
Evans first appeared on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” in 2010 and later starred in the series “Teen Mom 2” from 2011 to 2019,” chronicling her and other girls struggles as young moms.
She was let go from the TV series after her then husband Eason allegedly beat and shot her pet dog, Nugget.

Her mother, Barbara, has had custody of Jace since shortly after he was born. Evans later was granted full custody of her eldest son in March 2023.
Evans took to social media to criticize her family over the incident with Jace, writing, “Whoever thought the enemy is my own mother, sad AF.”
She added, “And to think the empathy I had for her all these months because of her health.”
Evans also blasted her sister, Ashleigh Evans, writing, “Another evil one that doesn’t have custody of her sonTake what she says with a grain of salt. Kthx, bye.”
“Imagine you being the toxic one, cut you off to protect myself and my kids, then all hell breaks loose. That seems to be the common theme amongst everyone lately in my life,” she added.
