MISSOULA, Mont. — The death count for the current influenza season has risen to 20, according to the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.

In data released Friday, the state health agency reported a case count of 697 flu patients in the ninth week of the year. That’s down from 932 cases in week eight.

Hospitalizations decreased in the same time frame, from 33 to 17.

Counties with the most flu cases include: Yellowstone (202), Gallatin (67), Lewis and Clark (55), Cascade (54), and Hill (33).
