The Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, Inc. (SDFHC) is inviting the community to come together for an exciting day of fun, friendly competition, and philanthropy at the 4th Annual Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Lucky Luke Brewing Company.
With the lively theme “Tossing Bags for a Cause: Supporting Mental Health, One Bag at a Time,” this high-energy event raises critical funds to support the growing need for mental health services in the Santa Clarita Valley.
As more children, families, and individuals seek behavioral health support, events like this help ensure that those facing financial barriers can still access vital counseling, therapy and integrated care services.
Community members, businesses and cornhole enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to participate in the tournament.
Spectators and supporters are also welcome to attend, enjoy the festivities, and take part in the silent auction and community celebration.
Team registration is $100 per two-person team, and sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations looking to support mental health care in the community.
Teams will compete for cash prizes and bragging rights while supporting a cause that touches thousands of local residents each year.
Teams are encouraged to register early as space is limited.
Team registrations can be completed by clicking here.
With every toss making an impact, proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit SDFHC’s mental health programs, which provide counseling, therapy, and behavioral health support to children and families who might otherwise go without the support they need.
“We started this event four years ago to bring the community together while supporting an essential part of whole-person care,” said Philip Solomon, CEO. “Mental health services are a critical need, and this event helps ensure our community continues to receive compassionate and accessible care.”
Attendees can expect a lively afternoon of friendly competition, great local craft beer, silent auction, opportunity raffle, community engagement and music provided by the band Rocky Folk — all while supporting an important cause.
