  1. 1. God i love when he throws on the accent 😂

    2. He's dead-on correct. If you tell the story that you deserve less, you will get less. Every time I have allowed myself to believe that I am worthy of more (and put in the work), I get more!

  2. Self acceptance is the practice I have stumbled upon and it is really helping. I’ve been through the self-love. I’ve been through the self compassion, and now I’ve arrived at self acceptance. It doesn’t mean there’s nothing in my life that I want to change. But it means that I accept myself even through that process. When I’m living in the space of self acceptance, I experience acceptance from others. When I’m living in the space of self acceptance and someone is dismissive of me, it doesn’t trigger because I’m not in agreement with them.

  3. I disagree. You have NO CONTROL over what other people think of you. You can carry yourself with as much confidence as you want but if people decide that you are an unrespectable loser to them THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE THAT. The trick is to just IGNORE those people beyond the basic interactions

  4. Ideally what you say is correct. Realistically however, the way our society is set up: for the average person productivity levels = more money = being able to simply survive, especially in the U.S.

Your productivity levels even impact what outcome you get if something happens and you need to apply for disability benefits. They heavily scrutinize your work history.

  5. This is not accurate in life bad stuff happens it doesn’t matter what you think about yourself. How does a person arrive at the conclusion that they are loser? Something must’ve happened to put that thought in their head and then reinforce it over time. This exaggerates the importance of positive thinking. It helps but only gets you so far.

  6. It’s not a matter of belief. It’s a matter of whether or not you’ve had enough positive reinforcement in your life, how much negative reinforcement you’ve had, and your personality. You can’t just choose to be confident. Believing in yourself only works if you have had the positive reinforcement to back it up, particularly if you were socialized properly in your formative years and didn’t experience much very negative reinforcement.

I hate when people act like successful people are these self-actualized, conscientious, upstanding individuals in which their success is the result of their philosophical outlook on life and not just a consistent chain of positive reinforcement/socialization since childhood and happening to have the right personality/aptitude conducive to success. This is just post-facto rationalization for their achievements, not the root cause. It’s not a conscious process in 99% of cases, it’s literally just genetics, upbringing, and your environment molding you into the right person.

  7. I gotta say his American accent is so inviting and awesome and to hear him speak with full Indian accent shows he understands how important it is for him to change his voice as a therapist. I think this is why so many trust him. He had to work on it and many Indians don’t care or realize how there heavy accent is perceived and very refreshing to hear him talk the way he normally does. I bet he also doesn’t smell like most Indian ppl too.

  8. He is definitely speaking truth.Easier said than done but knowing is half the battle.Society today feels like a bunch of velociraptors that have been influenced by social media dicks that need an attitude adjustment.Alot of disrespect.
