LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A local mental health provider celebrated its expansion to Henderson Tuesday.

The Integrative Wellness Clinic of Nevada cut the ribbon on its new location. The clinic says it is the largest in Southern Nevada specializing in a treatment called neurofeedback.

The clinic says that’s a method to treat patients by giving them tasks and monitoring their brain activity to help improve behaviors and brain function without medication.

One patient shared her experience with the treatment.

A mental health clinic opened a new location in Henderson.

“You’re almost playing this little game, and it’s a reward system, so it’s very simple. And even though sometimes you’re like, ‘how long have I been doing this, 30 minutes of brain training. It gives you that mental clarity that you’re looking for, and it gives it back to you in a much simpler fashion than maybe other things,” she said.

Robyn Rohde, director of the clinic’s Henderson location, also spoke on her experience receiving the treatment method.

“It actually changed my life. I’ve done 22 sessions of neurofeedback myself. I used to have anxiety, generalized anxiety, walking around, just kind of amped up. 22 sessions of neurofeedback, that’s completely gone. And it’s been lasting. I did that three years ago. And since then, I’ve helped dozens of clients through their issues,” Rohde said.

The new clinic is now open on Water Street, near Lake Mead Parkway.
